However, I will deliver the same message that I delivered after the last preseason game and leave it at that:

PRESEASON

NOTHING
Still mad at that damn near pick he threw in the red zone. What was my boy thinking?!

Obviously still triple coverage but a stronger receiver maybe Hurd could have had a chance. The ball was placed away from all the coverage back left shoulder I recall which is good, however the defender was clearly committing PI holding Dante's other arm from being able to go up to the ball.

before the game. and after last weeks game. my order of concern was o line. kyles play calling and jimmy. the o line is still a concern to me.. but last night kyle did a good job and did what many of us told him to do and that is make jimmy move. play action stuff. stuff to juice in the flat. good job and jimmy was just fine. i never had major concerns like some did with jimmy in the first place. we sure do have a bunch of good running backs. wrong thread but i hope we can stash wilson somewhere to keep him just in case. a running game is a qbs best friend

Good to know your concerned with the best OC in the NFL's playcalling...

Preseason meant something to him. Meant a lot. The KC first half was huge. Invaluable
where are all the Jimmy G doubters now?

sure glad kyle was paying attention to the zone ..... don't know what he would do without us
I have become a bit or a Garappolo skeptic. He looked a lot better against KC. He throws a pretty ball when the pocket is clean. He still makes some shaky decisions when he's under pressure. More physically gifted than Mullens, not mentally as sound. I hope he stays healthy and learns to play smarter through just getting more experience. This is what Shanahan is banking on. Some guys improve in their decision making with experience and some seem hard wired to make head scratcher throws. If Jimmy can keep his TD/INT ratio at 2/1, we'll all be happy campers because he can make more throws than Mullens is capable of.

He definitely has the gunslinger mentality and it will no doubt get him in trouble at times. Very high risk throws. I feel it's easier to be this way and eventually dial it back as he matures (hopefully) than it is to be gun shy and ask the QB to open it up and let it rip if there's the slightest of windows.
If he has a Favre-level career, no one will care much about his risk taking. And I don't think he's anywhere near as risk-taking as Favre.

The Oline gave him better pockets, but not sure much can be taken. The Chiefs pass rush isn't all that this year.

Because it's on our team now.

I've always thought Fat Andy's coaching weakness was defenses. Now, granted, he's had some good ones with the Eagles, but I never felt like he could maintain good defenses without a good DC to help him. Spagnulo is a good DC, and ShanaLynch took advantage of the DC transition firesale to acquire Dee Ford. But Fat Andy's defenses never really impressed me for some reason. Not the way Vic Fangio's defense, Bellicheats, Monte Kiffen, Dungy's, or Seifert/Carroll's defenses did.

Their pass rush is good. They have Chris Jones who had 15.5 sacks last season and Frank Clark, who also had double digits sacks last season.
