Think he'll play any this Thursday?
no way

Yeah, no chance in hell he plays Thursday night.

If there ever was a case to be made for a Franchise QB to play in week 4 (WEAK 4) maybe this is it. After so a huge layoff in an already short career, I'd like to see him get at least a series or 2 under his belt before seeing his first real action in 11 months

The Oline gave him better pockets, but not sure much can be taken. The Chiefs pass rush isn't all that this year.

Their pass rush is good. They have Chris Jones who had 15.5 sacks last season and Frank Clark, who also had double digits sacks last season.

They have 2 pro bowlers as pass rushers if you see Clark as a fringe/alternate. Soooooo you couldn't be more wrong. That's one of the best dt/de combos in the nfl

Lol you are not getting any. They wont even be close to tipping their cards until the run up to that first game. The lack of info is by design. He is either much better or much worse than we know. My mind is towards the better, but they definitely want to tease that Bosa along with a lot of other guys aren't going to play week one. The Patriots invented this game, Tom is questionable every goddamn week. After the Richburg debacle, I cant say I blame the staff for this over abundance of caution with every little nick, pull and sprain, might as well try and use it to our advantage in some way.
Any concerns that JG is a gunslinger. Since he has been a 49ers, he has made a few crazy throws a game. Throws that you are thinking, damn, how the hell did he see that or do that. But these are also throws that could easily go in the negative direction. For the most part, the WTF reads have gone in his favor, but this preseason has exposed some of his questionable reads.

The greats all have that mentality. It comes down to how good he gets about ensuring the percentages work out in his favor. I would like him to be closer to risk aversion on the Tom Brady to Brett Favre scale, but Ol' Brett proves that if you make two mistakes and one brilliant throw that can work out too. Still I would really rather he settle in that Roger's type territory. Save the 50/50 plays and the risk taking for when you need it, but don't fear throwing to the covered guy if you trust him to win.

If he had good receivers he could trust, the gunslinger mentality would work out more often than not

You mean like throwing deep to Pettis who is being tripled team when there was obvious man coverage on the other side?

Jimmy went without a game for a year. He's gonna go wild, tear up the first couple of pussies. Then he will calm down and f**k her like she's a woman by candlelight.

Correction, I meant throwing deep to Pettis who was tripled.

Yes, he went a year without playing a game, but that has zero to do with presnap reads.
