He was constantly throwing behind receivers but man, when he feels confident in the OL, he relaxes, steps up and can throw some dimes.
But probably the best thing that happened to him was the pick 6 and not letting it spiral out of control Kap-style AND the long run for the first down and slide.
Baby steps.

I think whitner said it in the postgame but Jimmy threw the ball then immediately turned back to brace for hits. Hes not comfortable behind our s**tty Oline and he is short changing his throws and WRs because hes so afraid of getting blasted

Nor should he. It's obvious.

not sure what was wrong with him. He takes risks but he is usually accurate. Today he wasn't. Cant help feel the offense has a different game if the kittle TD stands.

Same with the rollout throw to Goodwin a little earlier that would have put them close to the Red Zone. Was a little behind Goodwin but he should have made the catch.

I mean, it seems clear thats exactly why everyone in the world was saying that we needed to fix the oline during the off season, but for some reason Lynch and Shanny didnt seem to think it needed to be fixed. Terrible decision IMO.

Agreed. Wasn't pretty, but got the win with some struggle along the way. Can he do it again next week to get us another win?

Let's not forget Vita Vea is a monster and Suh is still a threat. Their LBers aren't slouches either.

The run was awesome. Loved it. Total BS they didn't call a penalty when he got hit after sliding. It sucks it all got called back but it was a great play by him.
The interception was just a bad decision. The ball placement was inconsistent but he still completed 67% of his throws.
Felt the play calling was way too conservative and predictable. I predicted the screen pass almost every time it was called. Kyle needs to practice something out for longer down and distance plays. They blitzed a lot on third down, we need a better blitz beater than that stupid WR screen.

Jimmy has to play better in order for us to be for real. It could be rust after a year but hopefully he gets it together, he had some bad passes.

Garnett was gettin tossed and Bourne should have caught that ball it was in his hands i dont know what they saw in him over matthews. James and Deebo should have gotten more opportunities. Jimmy will be alright though he was off and that was a dumb pick 6 but i think he'll be ok the team dont help with all the penalties. That first down run in the 4th would have been clutch and if kittle gets to keep those 2 TD's jimmys confidence would have been up.
