Garnett was gettin tossed and Bourne should have caught that ball it was in his hands i dont know what they saw in him over matthews. James and Deebo should have gotten more opportunities. Jimmy will be alright though he was off and that was a dumb pick 6 but i think he'll be ok the team dont help with all the penalties. That first down run in the 4th would have been clutch and if kittle gets to keep those 2 TD's jimmys confidence would have been up.

Bourne should have caught that one. Not a perfect throw, but it was catchable.
Same with the rollout throw to Goodwin a little earlier that would have put them close to the Red Zone. Was a little behind Goodwin but he should have made the catch.
Both should have been better throws, but Goodwin should have easily caught his but he was trying to take that catch to the endzone. The 9ers have an expensive QB and inexpensive WRs, the QB needs to hit them in stride better. Hopefully JG improves.

All he does is manage us to wins. Man do I miss that quality in a QB. RIP Alex Smith.
Jimmy wasn't crisp and was off on throws, but we got the win. Week 1 accomplished. Let's hope for improvement each week.

I anticipate him getting better every game and hitting his stride by the third game.
He has been off for a whole year, just not sure how this escapes people right now

1 regular season game against a blitz happy scheme isn't enough for me to make a judgment yet. Many more games to go. Another road test next week, let's see how it goes.

His placement was poor, but I think he made the right reads for the most part.
Not sure what happened on the pick 6, was the right route ran on that play? It kinda looked like last year when Bourne ran the wrong route. I'm not trying to absolve JG on that play because he shouldn't make that pass regardless. Just pointing out that there may be something more to that play.

he got fooled on the pick. he was expecting VG3 to drop into thirds and he stayed in the flat. Brady completed the exact same route vs the Steelers tonight to white but the Corner dropped to his third.

Pick 6 was gross and cannot happen. Some throws were off and need to be corrected but overall he wasn't awful. Shaking the rust off and he'll improve if we clean up the penalties. 2 TDs wiped out hurts.
Tom Brady looked shaky coming off his ACL injury as well and had Randy Moss and Wes Welker to throw to.

I am happy to watching my phone for the free TV "49ers vs Buccaneers". Garoppolo did playing very well because he was alright for throw the target balls to WRs, TE and Rbs. He did win games for us but The Defense team carry the wins game for us. They are doing good job for the teams! Garoppolo did very well!

Agree. For the most part, he still looked rusty and off a smidge. Other than the pick 6, he looks ok but isn't to where he was in 2017. He looks like he's still thinking just a tad too much out there, but for the most part he avoided making too many mistakes. I'd give it half a season before he looks back to his old form. The OLine should get better as they get more and more reps together and stay healthy. Overall, it was a win, thanks to the defense more than the offense - ironically.

Was a bit conservative today, but I think I understood why, all to protect Garoppolo. IMO
