Ya this big time. Everyone is excited for him to get slammed back there. Hoyer had issues finding players open and throwing down field. Beathard was getting crushed because there wasn't enough time for the routes to develop or he held the ball tomlong. Jimmy isn't mobile and if our WR don't get open or the paper thin online simply folds at the hike of the football he won't be any better.

None of these top quarterbacks have been super impressive. All come with considerable concerns.


Shanahan is getting a guy who is a perfect fit for his offense in every way. A better fit than anyone they could possibly draft, who already has actual NFL experience to boot.

Dude has zero running power. Usually goes down from first contact. He's a future receiving specialist. Elliott broke boatloads of tackles. Guice is closer to Elliott.

And this draft better be o-line focused. Can we just draft all 5 ND starters?
