The collapse started at about 7.10 when Mahomes threw a 60 yard pass to a wide open Hill. Our secondaries let us down big time.

20 seconds before that the commentators where getting stuck into Mahomes about the bad game he had that night.

I wonder if Chief's fans would be screaming that Mahomes get traded to the Pats for Brady if he didn't land that throw and they lost the game?

The defense let KS score 21 points in 6 minutes in the final quarter and people blame Jimmy when the O Line was letting him be smashed by rushers just as he was about throw and 95 got his hand to 3 off Jimmy's passes. Seriously some people just speak out of their behinds because they just cant hear what they are saying out loud.

dont think it was 3 batted passes, believe it was 2.

but regardless, both of which were during key critical moments. which is what sucked. 3 lineman in front of the guy and they couldnt stop him from batting down a pass

There were two that were very obvious. There was another where 95 got a finger to it and a slight deflection making it miss the receiver.

yea that was earlier in the game though. 4th quarter only i refer to

The play where it looked like a near pick to Bourne I think was tipped by Jones. He had 3 tipped passes in the 4th quarter and was KC's MVP imo.

The fact that we allowed one guy to beat us like that is infuriating.

finger tipped one i thought was earlier.

2nd 10 with 1:44 left, play before the Sanders throw. Jones gets a piece of the ball. I think if he doesn't touch that pass it gets in to Bourne for a tough catch.

eh i consider batted balls to be different. of which there were only 2 of. at least with a tipped pass brushed off a finger tip the ball still has a chance to be caught.

Is this Stephen A Smith?

I don't mean to be rude...or I do...but you guys are morons if you want to trade a franchise QB and have someone else come in, take 2-3 years to learn Shanny's system, and effectively close our current championship window.

Enjoy the ride with Jimmy G. He just might be awesome.

Agreed, people are bat s**t crazy. First full year as a starter and he shinned in some big games, played smart and efficient enough to get us to the Super Bowl. When our defense decided to disappear around mid-season he showed up and right the ship. Super Bowl he wasn't perfect but I swear the dude had a damn concussion. Best QB play we have had in a long LONG time, and people want to trade him.

smh, but I do like the nickname.

What is absolutely ridiculous about these people, as I look on the front page of what Kyle Long apparently said (who cares, but...)

Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL. Especially nothing is guaranteed in the NFL at the QB position. The number of drafted QB's who become stars or superstars in this league, even first round QB's, isn't extremely high. Heck, the Lions have had Matthew Stafford seemingly forever now and he's good and was considered a future franchise QB in his draft class. What's he done for the Lions? No he hasn't had a lot of help, other than Calvin Johnson for a while but still essentially no running game.

Sam Bradford was a number one overall pick. So was Tim Couch. So was David Carr. Trent Dilfer was one of the best QB prospects in his draft class. So was Rick Mirer. And... Mark McGwire's brother Dan. How about Jim Druckenmiller. Remember him, by chance? Kerry Collins was a number one overall pick. Cam Newton was. Yes, one NFL MVP year. Now Carolina doesn't want him. How about the draft that had future studs Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, and Sam Darnold? They are all still question marks- and bigger ones than Jimmy.

This in actuality is pure madness. People speculate, including some of our "fans" that we'll dump Jimmy for Brady. Yeah, get a guy who is old and started to have nagging injuries at 42 years old last year. I'm sure he'll be 100% healthy for the rest of his career. Hope that everything breaks right for him to get you a Super Bowl or two. Have him retire and then have, um, who as the guy in waiting? Hope Nick Mullens is even better than you think? Hope a free agent stud falls into our lap? Or start over from scratch with an unknown college QB who might work out.

I swear people just say things because "why not". Including some of our "fans".
jimmy crappolo = trent dilfer

dilfer is higher ranked IMO
he completed a long TD pass to stokley on sb35 and won!
not like jimmy boy over here

I'm really going to have to hope/believe we're trolling at this point.

Trent Dilfer-lifetime 55.5% completion percentage, 113 touchdown passes, 129 interceptions. Stellar stuff.

And Bucky Dent and Don Larsen were two of the greatest players in baseball history. It's a conspiracy that they're not in the Hall of Fame.

Sure but it still impacts the trajectory and velocity of the throw. Given the small window of that play the throw was affected. Can't say for sure if it's completed if Jones doesn't touch it but it looked like the pass slowed down and the DB was able to jump at it. We've seen Jimmy fit those in before. Would've liked to see if it had the juice.

Many teams and draft experts had Thomas rated high including niners.
