Drew Brees is 8-8 in the playoffs. .

Good to see you back Marvin

Like you, i haven't been able to stomach rewatching the game either, lol.

I agree with a lot of what you have said and I don't really think anyone is writing Jimmy off, but the main problem is this.....

The guys listed above are all Superbowl champs and all won on their first try (I think). Wilson's INT was more about a great defensive play and a terrible play call, but to be clear that loss would have been WAY worse to stomach, compared to the way we lost.

Also, if you give every one of these listed QBs 3 drives (one on a short field) against the 31st ranked defense with a lead, they are all three going to give you points and we know this because all 3 did it to us this year.

Like it's been mentioned before in this thread, its not that Jimmy needed lead the team to some miraculous comeback, all he needed to do was score one TD with 3 opportunities.

Nonetheless, the debate really is a waste of time because it's all history now, all we can all do is just pray that he comes back and proves to be good enough to be in company with this group of QBs when it comes to Superbowl wins.

Everyone with KC DEFENSE was 31st...
GTFO already..
They were 13th during complete regular season @ 226.9 & BTW #8 was 222.1 yards.

And through the final few games & playoffs they were #4..

But stats don't matter.. except when they matter..

"You have a clown on here wanting to see Jimmy G in top 5 or at least 8 QB next year or he needs to f**king go.."

Genus asks him DIRECTLY WHICH STATS IN TOP 5-8...
The reply... "I don't care about stats"
"I care about the perception by media and everyone else he is top 1-8"
WTF!

"Jimmy can't get better, he's to old"
"Jimmy can't get better, been in the league seven years already"

Rebuttal: he's only played one full season & bits of others and that one FULL SEASON WAS AFTER TEARING HIS ACL!

"But he's played more games then one season so you have to account for that"

Rebuttal: playin backup behind Brady and spot duties IS NOT THE SAME AS PLAYING AS STARTER WITH LIVE BULLETS!

"Duh.... Yes it is"

f**kin people..

I mean can this be any f**king more dumb!

Give the dude 4-5 years to progress off this year.. Look at Jimmy g's final 8 games. He was progress big time. Less picks, better decisions and came back in 4 quarter 4 f**king times this year... 2nd this year.
I think he played his best ball in 2017 when he went 5-0 to end the season. I hope he gets his legs under him and can get back to that.

Yeah looking forward to all those fifth round and lower picks we are going to get. Lets see how good Kyle and Lynch's trading ability is.

Only if the team trades down & gets more picks. Otherwise, it'll be 1st round & a whole lot of waiting (even more than usual)
Yards wise KC was actually 17th not 13th or 3lst. Like most Reid d's though they were a better scoring d even better then ours on the year btw. That's what happens when you don't turn the ball over left and right on o. It's fair to say their d is no joke. They have a very poor run defense though and because of that we had opportunities all over the place. Moving the ball on them was never hard that game and the only the difference in the end was Jimmy just couldn't hit them in the 4th as well as leaving a few big ones on the board earlier.

You can't argue that he didn't cost us 7 so right away you're down the biggest one on this one. Huh.

Is that a hard point to get? Anyway you try and spin it even you concede he cost us 7 on the Sanders pass. So my statement that Jimmy couldn't hit them in the 4th is already true to a point.

Oh now I know what you are talking about. So he miss judged a long shot. So does Mahomes now and then. Mahomes threw an intercept earlier in the quarter. Ho Hum

It's okay that we run alot more...if we do. The problem is needing a QB that can get you out of jams should things be accounted for and theyre rushing the passer.

okay, and Jimmy has done that for us all season. and bailed out the defense numerous times for that matter.

False

He got blasted halfway through his throwing motion which CLEARLY impacted the throw. How are people still not understanding that? We're really going to put it out there that he doesn't have an arm strong enough to throw the ball away?

I don't care if you're Mahomes/Josh Allen/Rodgers...if you're getting hit in the chest mid windup the throw will not go where you intend.

LoL....which is why I listed 3 things,...it's akin to sealing cracks to keep vermin out.

You jump from excuse to excuse trying your best to avoid the obvious: QBs use TOOLS to avoid tipped passes and lame duck throws to the other team. Tools like having the whits to get rid of it faster and in an acceptable way,...having the mobility to buy time,...and having a stronger arm to get it further.

1,...2,...3. Those are the 3 I keep posting and you keep avoiding over and over right?? I really dont care who is to blame. That blame game stuff why YOU are here. Other people -- believe it or not -- are not here to be pseudo-defense lawayers,...and actually are here to discuss improving the team.

The fact of the matter is throwing up your arms and saying "it's not Jimmy's fault he got hit and threw an INT in a critical time"....isin't going to win us a championship,...especially if we have to go up against Mahomes again.

You really expect the running game to stay this dominant? He's going to HAVE TO get better if we're to win a championship.
