Hmmmm
Don't Improve interior OL for pass protection, but improve deeper developing routes....

Lol come on NY, I understand you can do that with some scheme, however, expecting one without the other is unrealistic.

I'm not saying that's what I'd do, I'm saying that seems to be Kyle's approach so far. Do you not agree? He doesn't value guards. Never has. Hopefully that changes

Our O Line strength is blocking and not pass protection. Our replacement centre did a poor job at pp in the Super Bowl. Especially in the last 6 minutes. It was almost non existent. And no one was on Jones. When you rewatch the film you can see that 7 or the 8 incompletions are due to this.
Let's see how he does in his second full season under Kyle. I'm not against letting AA walk or a sign and trade if means adding upgrades to the O-line and WR's

I agree.

Sone of your main points that so many overlook is that we were #1 in explosive plays (even though this offense is not vertical based), brought in Sanders mid season, # what in scoring again, #2?, jimmy coming off an ACL, no consistency in the wide receivers, losing both OT's for many games, losing our damn center.... I can go on...
Yet, jimmy sucks, Jimmy's the weak link, jimmy won't improve...
Yet jimmy was top 5-8 in most stats (even though stats don't matter, except when they do).
The clown takes in here make me think I'm at the circus.
Ridiculous

It is ridiculous. People get caught up in one play. He makes that throw to sanders it's a totally different context of him.
I'd wager that Jimmy will spend the entire offseason working on his sideline and deep throws. He's not even bad at throwing deep, but he could be better. Once teams feel the need to defend the sidelines, he will be able to attack the middle easily.

He will be better next season, and we'll get back to the playoffs and have another chance to win the big game.

Welcome to the light side of the force my friend. We're finally glad you could join us. Here's your standard issue gold light saber.

Both arguments are valid IMHO. Jimmy needs to play better and the personnel needs to get a tad better, but mostly Jimmy needs to play better and not become so rattled.

Lol yes the IOL can improve namely the RG spot. I'm also trying to be realistic and realize shanny doesn't value guards like some people want him too.

Is what it is. Hopefully they do something about it
I wanted him to prove the haters wrong so bad this super bowl it just irritates me so damn much.............. ugh.

The season will be here soon enough - can't wait to get going with the revenge tour.

Its sucks because we were a better team than the Chiefs. We were the better team for 3 quarters even. I HATE that all the loudmouth analysts who said KC was superior now smugly think they were right.

Yeah, it does suck - it's been three weeks now and it seems like it happened yesterday.

One place where the Chiefs were better was pass protection in the final 7 minutes.

The Chiefs O Line gave Mahomes plenty of time to launch that 58 yard or so pass to Hill. If Mahomes didn't have good pass protection from his O Line he wouldn't not have had the time to hold it until Hill was free and in the clear.

Got to look ahead now - we got the combine, FA and the draft coming up. Lot's to distract ourselves from the game.

Part of the sport unfortunately. If you don't play your best football for 60 minutes(sometimes longer) and you go home with the L and everyone gets to take their shots.

Chiefs fans gloating like they've been dominating the NFL for decades now, I guess that's what happens when you get your first taste of championship football for the first time in 50 years

We were the better team but in the end KC made more plays than we did. Whether some of our guys/coaches felt we had it on cruise control doesn't matter...they made more plays. As frustrating as it was seeing the officials basically call the game where the strengths of the Chiefs were exaggerated and our strengths were weakened we still had opportunities to make plays and win the game. We failed to do that and it sucked.

I echo your comments where I was hoping Jimmy would ball out and shut up everyone but it didn't happen. I thought he played a pretty good game all things considered until the end but as I've discussed many times in here as bad as some people are making out his 4th quarter to be it wasn't "choking" type stuff.

He missed one throw. It was a big throw and had he made it he'd be talked about as the next great NFL QB. That's how it goes sometimes. But he didn't miss a slant on a 1 yard line for a game losing pick(and the guy who did that is doing pretty darn good for himself btw) he missed a low % deep throw to a guy who had 2 guys right on his heels. Mahomes gets credit for hitting a wide open Hill and people act like Jimmy missing Sanders is a slam dunk throw that any other QB makes. huh?

Either way...we blew the opportunity and now have to show people we have what it takes to get back there and get the W this time. It won't be easy but I definitely think Jimmy will up his game. We'll have to see where it gets us.
