True, although the media perpetuates and reinforces the stupid fans' opinions.

This Brady to SF narrative the media has been on lately is so obviously a time filler. It makes zero sense, as Brady has 1 or 2 mediocre seasons left in him, and Garoppolo's career is just starting. Garoppolo was better than Brady in 2019. It's embarrassing how uneducated a lot of our fanbase is.

it's a combination of everything. trolling, laziness, nearsighted, narrow-minded, or just plain dumbfounding ignorance. all depends on the poster.

point blank, anyone who actually thinks that is a realistic option or is willing to spend any sort of time entertaining such a thought is an idiot.

I really want to slap anyone who legit thinks 49ers signing Brady at 43 years old is a smart move.

For the record I live in NE. I love Tom Brady, I think he's the best to ever play the position(I understand this is not a statement shared around these parts) however his career with the Pats doesn't come with him at 43 years old.

Tom Brady can still do some really good things. His mind is still there so his decision making, ability to read the field and the defense is still the best in the game at this stage.

His physical talent isn't there anymore. His game revolves about timing and knowing where his guys will be. That is why he looked so bad last year because outside of Edelman the timing with his receivers was off. They were either guys they brought in that year(Sanu) or guys who were young and inexperienced in that offense(Harry, Myers) and his OL was an issue where he couldn't stand back there and pick his spots.

Tom Brady is at his best when he and his receivers are on the same page and his OL is giving him time to find the best matchup and deliver the ball. Tom Brady can handle outside pass rushers because he's terrific at stepping up into the pocket.

So people think that going to the 49ers, a team that runs a completely different system than what Tom is used to in NE. A team with ALL new receivers. A team with a decent but not great OL especially when we're not going to playaction and an OL weakest on the interior.

In what way does that make sense? Hell we've had people complaining Jimmy isn't mobile enough and doesn't throw deep enough...and you want a 43 year old Brady??!?

People think that if Tom Brady plays vs KC in the SB that we win. Maybe that's true but it's only because Brady is way more experienced and may make some better reads and he certainly would've gotten the helmet to helmet hit called. However we've also seen Brady get pressured up the middle and turn into an average QB.

One thing I'm pretty certain of is that full season Brady was worse in the comforts of his offense with a pretty talented defense of his own. We're not getting Tom Brady for one game. We're getting an older Tom Brady for a full season.

I'm not sure that even last year when Brady was a year younger had we had him instead of Jimmy that we're the #1 seed. If we don't get the #1 seed I'm not sure we make it to the SB for Tom to win it...

People need to stop overreacting and understand the big picture. This team is good enough to be in SB contention for a while. Putting in Tom Brady doesn't guarantee we win anything. It does however guarantee that our window to try to win one is DRASTICALLY reduced.
