Lmao
So what your saying is your new to watching this sport called football.
Hopefully you pick up the basics in a few years so you don't make anymore embarrassing posts like this.
I said it after Week 1 of the season, the kid does not have it. It took until the SB for the entire world (other than Niner fans) to agree with me. So I repeat to the Gods, trade his ass and bring us TB12. An actual Niner fan who would get us a SB win immediately. If Shanahan could hide a garbage QB like Jimmy G, he can turn a declining Brady into an MVP Brady just like that.
You did indeed say he had no "it" in him after week 1. Then you were silent for 19 weeks afterwards as the 49ers kicked ass all season long. Then Jimmy loses in the SB and you reappear talking about, "I called it". I think you are going to be very disappointed when Jimmy is again the starting QB for the 49ers in 2020.
Way to go awp,...you were RIGHT as Thl noted 1 week out of 20, for an amazing 5% of the time. Congrats! Unfortunately this kind of nuttiness and foolishness is all too common here, but Thl managed to point out all the things you missed on. Basically you missed some great playing by JimmyG about oh, 95 % of the time. Sometimes posts like yours make one wonder where the poster was when Jimmy was putting on a show for the rest of us.
Tops in 3rd down conversions in the league is the mark of a guy who gets "it" done. That is opposite of a choker. But keep looking for Tom B to be here QBing the 9ers. My guess , like Thl's is that it is a fool's errand. Good luck in looking tho. And if you find out where this is going down, please share it with us. Meantime you can find the 49ers and their FR QB working out at the usual haunts...practice field. And then later, at Levi's.
This is just a guess...but awp...i believe you missed the boat. But good of you to remind us how you fared at 5% this yr.
Yeah, this kind of nuttiness, is well... nuttiness.
Honestly it makes me wonder if such people are even Niners fans or at least if they should be.
News flash- even though the Patriots seemingly
might have made it look easy, and even that is debatable, winning a Super Bowl is in fact quite difficult. Just like winning a national championship in college football or basketball is quite hard.
You might actually even have the better team but make more mistakes and/or get outplayed in a "one and done" type scenario and you have, well what you had this past year- an also ran.
So, roll the dice and hope that a QB who dealt with
multiple injuries closing in on his mid 40's can first of all get you to the Super Bowl. Then second hope that nothing goes wrong and you actually win it. Oh, and the people saying "it was all Jimmy's fault" probably also spent 50% of the time (or more) blaming Kyle for choking the game away. So an old, more injury prone, past his prime QB is going to deliver a Super Bowl win or two with the coach who choked two Super Bowl wins away (in the eyes of some).
Here's the reality. We beat every other team in the AFC in that Super Bowl. Every other one. There's no other team that had that stable of WR's and that QB. Not Baltimore. Not Houston. Certainly not Tennessee, New England, or Buffalo. None of those other teams score 21 on us or probably even 14 on us in less than half a quarter of football. It was just one of those things that happened and unfortunately it happened to us.
As for Brady and New England, let's run down their Super Bowls.
1. Beat the Rams in a defensive oriented game (20-17). Brady wasn't Brady just yet.
2. Beat a Panthers team quarterbacked by Jake Delhomme. Okay.
3. Beat an Eagles team with a good but not elite QB in McNabb. Andy Reid still hadn't gotten over the hump though he finally reached a Super Bowl. TO
balled out if memory serves but if memory also serves there weren't a lot of other weapons on that team.
4. Lost a defensive battle to the Giants.
5. Lost another defensive battle to the Giants in the year I believe when they went 16-0 and broke all sorts of offensive records. 0-2 against Eli Manning.
6. Beat Seattle. Was a hand the ball off to Beast Mode moment from losing three straight Super Bowl appearances.
7. Beat Atlanta. We probably know a fair bit about that one.
8. Lost to Philly. Better stats than or at least more yards than but in reality outplayed by Nick Foles.
9. Beat the Rams in a defensive oriented game. Scored 13 points. Gave up 3. Yay Brady!
The reality is the Patriots have at times simply played the right teams and had some breaks go their way in their Super Bowl wins. And they're still a boneheaded Pete Carroll decision and an Atlanta collapse away from being 4-5 in Super Bowls and Brady isn't the supposed GOAT. Belichick might not be either. And obviously he's a great coach. But their greatness and their dominance might be a tad overblown.
And of course that ignores the huge elephant in the room. Get Brady in
hopes you win at least one Super Bowl. Then have, um no one to take over. Maybe Kaep might actually come back. Or maybe Nate Davis is out there somewhere. Hooray!
