How is this guy a franchise QB? I mean...he might be, but how can any rational individual possibly elevate him to that status when he has, basically, one season of NFL experience, on excellent teams?

That's one more season of NFL experience then any of the rookies.

I'd rather use a second and take a chance on Jimmy then waste a 1st on a rookie.

At least they're trying. Sad reality is, the o-line was once again ignored this offseason. Wish their goal was to build a feared line and then add the other pieces.

U mean going after dlime year after year isn't the way 2 go?
Laughing at anyone thinking we are smarter then Bellichet and the Pats.
Sign him this off season and save a HIGH 2nd round pick

Think of him as a rookie with NFL experience. He's less of a risk than Darnold or Rosen, and we won't have to pay him $30 million like cousins.

With good news seldom happening for our team, seems that the lot of people on this board are extremely overreacting. Jimmy is unproven. I'll wait and see how he plays.
I'm surprised he's already 26 years old. Thought he'd be more like 24.

Here's to hoping his career will turn out like Rodgers.

What are you people smoking? Jimmy perfect for this offense in every way? WHAT? Based on what exactly? Jimmy is as unproven as any rookie QB would be . KID9r is actually pretty spot on and practical with his analysis. We lost draft capital that could be used to bolster the rebuild. But instead we get an unproven QB who we now have to commit major money to.

Perfect in terms of skillset. And they dont have to use their 1st round pick on a QB. Now they can acquire an impact player at a position of need or trade, get a top prospect still and get that 2nd rounder back and then some.

That would be perfect

Plus Bill has been grooming him.
Wow for a 2nd- I thought my brother was lying to me hahahahahah

That being said.. I feel bad for you Jimmy, I hope you have nuts made of steel and A titanium jaw.. You're gonna need it

Probably wouldve traded him 2 someone tho
Not gonna lie, I'm sure JG was a better pick but I was looking forward to Cousins aka Mr. "you like that!" All joking aside, I hope this decision was well thought out and not based on their inability to improve our offense. This decision will forever define ShanaLynch. I hope it's for the better.

Atleast it gives us a chance to spend more money elsewhere.

You're forgetting the bidding war we're avoiding.

If he replicates Alex output, I'll be satisfied
