Its a random nameless, faceless QB so you know for certain they won't be a bust like over 50% of first round QBs turn out to be. Garoppolo can't perform at a high level with a jacked up ankle and s**t blocking so clearly he's gotta to go.

Look around the league. Herbert. Burrow. Lots of young blood coming in. Garoppolo is not playing up to his contract. You'd much rather have a young guy on a rookie deal so we can bring our cap down and afford players. Especially if Shanahan is just gonna keep hiding Garappolo behind his scheme and making him hand the ball off to Deebo/Aiyuk/Kittle on Jet Sweeps, and have him throw behind the LOS for screens.

Its hard to tell right now where we'll land on the draft next year, so we don't know if a QB is getable. It will be much easier to land a great QB if our draft pick is high. But the first step is acknowledging the mistake. Then we can see how this FO wants to get a solution

I don't hate Jimmy.. He seems like a cool person. Seemed to be a natural with the ball... seemed to know how to quickly get rid of the ball, while turning to protect himself from a defender. Seemed accurate. Just mobile enough to buy time to get a throw off... or run for the first down.

Almost seemed the perfect QB in 2017.

But something has been wrong with him for a while now.. many have been in denial about it. Consistent arm strength or mechanics or what ever, it doesn't seem like it can be fixed.

That being said I can't see Kyle letting him go... especially if there is no backup plan that makes Kyle comfortable.

So predictions out of my ass..

Kyle trades for Cousins or Ryan next year

Kyle objects to getting rid of Jimmy and wants to be with him no matter what.. waiting and wanting to be there when Jimmy comes out of his coma... so much so, will ask for his release to join Jimmy in New England to replace Belichick
