Doesn't matter how bad Mullens plays on Thursday. Keep jimmy on the bench until that ankle is healed. Who knows how long it'll take. Buts it's an annoying ass excuse, and the FO needs to evaluate a healthy Jimmy for next year
My prediction is that he'll be similar even if he doesn't play for a month.

I've been mostly quiet while watching Jimmy regress over this entire season. NYniner85 and I have exchange Pms as he and I see the same thing. I own 2 jerseys: #52 and #10. I am a Jimmy homer. It is important I say that cuz I've been around awhile.
It is time to move on. The Salary cap relief alone justifies the move. Stop with the Jimmycuses. Alexcuses about killed me. It isn't easy to move on but change is good. I believe Kyle in this case is better than the player. I'd rather take the gamble on Kyle's ability to coach up a talent than try and work a game plan around our QBs limitations. The trick play where he threw back across the field showed me what I've been seeing all season. The arm limits what he can do. The arm limits what Kyle wants to call. Oh the ankle. Stop.
At this point I would rather see what another QB could do. I hate it. I'm a fanboy. I'm old enough to be his dad but still a fan of Jimmy. Bill Walsh let them go earlier than later. I hated him for it at times. He was right.

right there with you my friend. It's funny that people on here call me a Jimmy hater too, but I also own his jersey. Shame on me. I should just stop buying jerseys

We needed Jimmy to take a wounded team on his back and win a meaningful game. I'm not sure if that type of QB is on the roster
Exactly. I'm sure some will try to act like the Seahawks we're playing conservative because they had a lead, but the reality is, Jimmy looks lost at times and doesn't seem to make the correct read.
Jeff Garcia mentioned something like that and flat out said Mullens may not be as talented as JG but he knows where to go with the ball...
And yeah, the cawks weren't letting up when Mullens got in there... correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Mullens who gave 49ers their first win against Seattle under Shanny in our house a couple years ago?
Mullens was moving the chains against Seattle's horrific defense and If Pettis didn't fumble earlier, who knows.......
I believe so. That was 2018 game against the Seahawks I think?
Honestly, I don't know what's going on with Jimmy right now, but we might have to just roll the dice with Nick for now and hope we win enough games to make the playoffs. This upcoming game against the Packers should be a fun one to watch too lol

buy a #54 when we lock him up with the $ we save releasing #10. LBs are safer

Let JG rest until 100% and let's go with Mullins to get some continuity going. Today was a very winnable game, but our offense stunk it up that bad!!!

Nah, Mullens is playing a cupcake defense on thursday. As long as he makes the necessary throws and controls the run game, they'll win. The defense is tired of playing for a team where the offense goes 3 n out every possession.

a very angry defense that lost at home. By the way we just played a cupcake defense. Rodgers isn't losing Thursday.

In 2017, 2018, 2019 or whatever.
Jimmy is clearly the best QB on the roster but these inconsistent performances are a pain and a reason why the 49ers were sniffing around Brady. He keeps this up and his main competition isn't going be a noodle arm backup that's for sure.
I don't know how SEA made him confused, but it wasn't just on blitzes. He had numerous drop backs where he had time and didn't know where to go with the ball. I'll wait until the all22, but I can't believe that SEA's defense suddenly was able to cover. There had to be open receivers.

Just couldn't find the open receivers. And when he was going to them ball was sailing. Not his day today!

I would like to call a mulligan to this season cause of covid and losing Bosa and company early, but we have to be honest with ourselves.
We are paying a QB like a franchise QB to not play like he did against the worst pass defense in the league. That's all I can think about right now. Yes we are decimated by injuries, but if supposed inferior QBs with worse teams are able to keep playing against Wilson to the wire where only by Wilson magic they pull it out of their ass at the end, then the QB we are paying should be able to smack around their defense.

You aren't wrong man. Mullens tore up that Seattle D, why couldn't Jimmy? Its the same Defense, he had the same Weapons. I am turning the page on Jimmy.
