It's one f**king play and Niner fans are obsessing over it. One bad play... it sucked, but Jimmy's inexcusable pick was more costly

was he even listed on the injury report as questionable before the game?

come on phoenix. Do you really believe this?

I do think Jimmy limits Kyle's playcalling for sure, but that being said, the playcalling today didn't do him any favors. Lots of terrible calls. The wild cat. The screen to Taylor.

I do, especially looking at some of his performances from last year. I don't buy that he suddenly regressed that much that his entire movement in the pocket just completely fell off. I think the ankle is an issue and will continue to be an issue until they sit down down and stop trying to work around it. Even the playcalling is vastly different with far shorter passing which I think is a direct response to the injury, to minimize him having to step into throws and potentially make it worse. Today Seattle just blew everything up with a series of blitzes and taking advantage of a center that has no business starting in the NFL.

I'd like to see Garoppolo sit for a few weeks and get his ankle right, get fully healthy and see what he looks like in a month. In the meantime, roll Mullens and Beathard out there and if you take the hit and lose a few games, then you take the hit but you give Garoppolo the last few weeks to evaluate him while healthy and see if he's going to fit into the offense going forward.

And Pettis fumble was more costly.

Jimmy Is known for turning the ball over though. He can be a little careless with the ball and It's costing us dearly as we saw today.

It is easy to blame the QB for bad calls by the coach or the Oline failing to stop rushers or the receiver not being where he is meant to be or the RB dropping the ball on the ground and the WR picking it up and saving a turn over.

It's also easy to blame the coach for the QB's shortcomings. The early looks on Twitter I'd various angles show poor decision making and missing open guys. The inaccuracy is one thing, but he makes poor decisions

Kyle Shanahan is the primary reason this franchise went to the super bowl last year and is .500 right now with atrocious QB play and an insane amount of injuries. The coach is not the problem. Everyone was slurping him up after last weeks game where he out-coached Belicheck

Why get tricky there though? Just run the offense and get the first down. That cost us a score that could have given us confidence.

That's an awful thing to be known for, especially if you aren't a true gunslinger like Favre who could make up for it with super human throws.

I still think hes a good coach, but I'll be honest, he called a s**t game today. Just telling it how it is.

I wouldn't be shocked if we beat the Packers next Thursday since they're susceptible to the run. Then people will be slurping Kyle again.

Totally agree. I said it was the worst call from Kyle since he's been here

But you don't know if that cost us a score. It was 3rd ans four which isn't guaranteed if you put the ball in Jimmy's hands or run. Also, a deep FG attempt

Horrible call, but one a team can bounce back from. Kyle is trying to manufacture all types of s**t. His Arbys are hurt and he gets subpar QB play from Garoppolo, maybe it's the injury, but it's still garbage play

Favre was also fearless too, something we don't see from Jimmy unfortunately. He seems hesitant and tends to fold up once he's pressured. Maybe we see the Jimmy from 2017 again someday? . unlikely, but you never know.

FWIW Jimmy threw 27 TDs which was tied for 5th in the NFL last season. It was more than Wentz, Cousins, Watson, Rodgers and Ryan to name a few.

I'm more invested in this team than you are. Grew up on them in the Bay Area. Not sticking a knife in. Being honest. This team is bigger than one man, and you are an awful fan for throwing the rest of the team and coach under the bus to prop up one man. You're a Jimmy Garoppolo fan NOT a Niner fan

And Pettis fumble was more costly.

It was a two TD game at that point. With Jimmy slanging the rock, and Wilson and Metcalf cooking, less than a five percent chance we would have came back.

Jimmy's pick flipped momentum. The defense was dominating at that time and it was in the redzone

If the defense was dominating then Seattle shouldnt have scored.
