It's one f**king play and Niner fans are obsessing over it. One bad play... it sucked, but Jimmy's inexcusable pick was more costly
LOL there you go you couldn't help yourself and stick the knife in. Some supposed 9ners fans.
I'm more invested in this team than you are. Grew up on them in the Bay Area. Not sticking a knife in. Being honest. This team is bigger than one man, and you are an awful fan for throwing the rest of the team and coach under the bus to prop up one man. You're a Jimmy Garoppolo fan NOT a Niner fan
LOL you claim you are a Niners fan but you whinge and whinge and whinge. I first started getting into the NFL when Joe Namath was the Mahomes of his day and was supporting the 9ers before Bill Walsh in the late 1970s. You try and trash talk me and claim you are superior. You are not.
I value the opinions of guys on here like Jonnydel and thl408 among others. They really know how football works. You do not. Your opinion on football has zero value to me. It is clear you look at football in a very one dimensional way and thrive on negativity. Your negativity blinds you and you fail to see the bigger picture. Most people on here know that.
So next time you want to have a dig at me remember I laugh at guys like you who think you know it all. You don't and your view of me and of football just means nothing. It would be better for you if you just ignore my posts. You can hit the ignore button and do me a big favour.

I think he's just getting hurt a lot and needs more practice reps or something.

I am guessing he stopped texting Brady for advice as well

Ahhh....what?
Do you mean Jets/Darnold?
Miami getting nowhere near Lawrence.
Right. Miami in thick of playoff hunt in AFC East. But they will have 2 first round picks.
Miami has the Texans first round pick and they're 1-6 right now

All I got to say is DAMN.
I really believed we were gonna win this game. Coming off 2 good wins against the Lambs and the Patriots, it was hard to not see us making the playoffs. I knew if we wanted to win today it would be a battle. But boy was I wrong.
We got bent over bad. I know the score was closer at the end, but this loss reminded me of the ass whooping by the Seahawks on Thanksgiving with Harbaugh as coach. It just completely ruined our season then and completely ruined our season now.
I no longer view us a playoff team. Too many injuries to overcome and the regression of the majority of the team this year, including Jimmy G.
I have been a huge Jimmy fan since we got him from the Patriots. I believe it was what years ago yesterday that we got him in the trade.
Dude looked like he was one of the next best QBs in the game in 2017.
Fast forward to today, he is a shell of his former self. With the ACL injury, the super bowl loss, and now the ankle injuries.
I think a big part of Jimmies problem is a mental one. I am not sure if he can overcome it. Only he could do it, no one for him.
His mechanics are s**t. You can't rely throwing on your back foot all game long and never plant your front foot. The s**tty Offensive line doesn't help. His deep ball is s**t and we can't keep throwing screens and passes behind the LOS. He is really f**king up the progress of the receivers IMO.
I don't know if he can fix his issues, but I know that we got to move on from him and draft a guy next year. That sucks man because I really was excited this guy fell into our laps.
Maybe Belichek knew his limitations better than the 49ers.
I see a big parallel between Jimmy and Kap.
Both a on their way to stardom, both got big fat contracts, lose the super bowl barely and then were never the same.
I hope Shanahan makes the right choice with the next QB. The defense is still good enough when Bosa returns to be top 10 next year. We have weapons on offense. Aiyuk, Kittle, Deeboo

No. Wait what why would the Jets trade the first pick to the Dolphins?
Or another qb? Rumor has it they're kicking the tires on tua early to see if they wanna draft another qb. If they do hmmm
Miami are nuts then. Them and the Jets, no wonder the Pats dominated that division so long.
Jets have a rare opportunity before them. Darnold isn't the main problem. Coaching staff and lack of personnel is. They already have Seattle's 1st. If they get #1, kings ransom could get them another a 1st and 2nd or 3rd in 2021 and 2022. Plus 2nd highest cap. They can definitely rebuild that team in a year( like Miami) if they get the right ppl in the FO.

Here's the plan:
1. Cut ties with Jimmy in the offseason, freeing up cap space
2. Sign Rodgers on a team friendly deal cause "he always wanted to be a niner"
3. Draft BYU kid and have him sit behind Rodgers and develop
4. ???
5. Profit

How do you define "not hurting?" Because he's not visibly grimacing after each throw? Ankle injuries tend to linger for long periods of time and from everything I've seen, he's not close to being healthy right now. He's not moving in the pocket like he did, he's not stepping into throws and having passes awkwardly sail on him. Where as there were always some issues with his footwork, its become far more pronounced and I think that is a direct result of him trying to adjust to the injury. If Mullens was playing better, I don't think Garoppolo would be out there but Shanahan felt like he had no better option than trying to work around the injury and hoping it didn't get further aggravated.
We saw Jimmy limping once today (when he limped off the field the final time we saw him on it).
I've seen him "limp" 3 times: Against the Jets when he originally hurt it. After he s**t the bed against Miami and was pulled (actually didn't see it really, was just told it was the ankle) 2 games later, today after he s**t the bed against Seattle. What is the common denominator in this? Coincidence? Decent game = ankle fine
Bad game = ankle

You have to trade for Rodgers before we can sign Rodgers lol.
It would probably include the 1st rounder you used to draft the BYU kid , but #5 is right on. We would still profit.
Rodgers is the only Vet I would trade our next year's 1st

Yeah, Rodgers is definitely a better option even at his age then another two years of Garoppolo.

I do, especially looking at some of his performances from last year. I don't buy that he suddenly regressed that much that his entire movement in the pocket just completely fell off. I think the ankle is an issue and will continue to be an issue until they sit down down and stop trying to work around it. Even the playcalling is vastly different with far shorter passing which I think is a direct response to the injury, to minimize him having to step into throws and potentially make it worse. Today Seattle just blew everything up with a series of blitzes and taking advantage of a center that has no business starting in the NFL.
I'd like to see Garoppolo sit for a few weeks and get his ankle right, get fully healthy and see what he looks like in a month. In the meantime, roll Mullens and Beathard out there and if you take the hit and lose a few games, then you take the hit but you give Garoppolo the last few weeks to evaluate him while healthy and see if he's going to fit into the offense going forward.
I felt the same way you did.... earlier in the season. Buy now it's been 5 starts and no improvement. I don't think another 6 starts are going to make any difference. I'll be stunned if he plays well enough at the end of the year for Shanalynch to have complete faith in him for 2021.
