Oh. Sorry. The problem I have is they don't do it enough. It's like Kyle worries too much that it might be incomplete or maybe intercepted. Both of those could happen but so can TDs and PIs. Garcia and Whitner both said that defenses don't fear this passing offense. They don't have to game plan for those deep shots since they happen about once a game if that. They need to put a little more fear in them

well one of them was at the end of the half vs the Pats to Aiyuk but it pretty much didnt matter as it was basically a hail mary. but there's nothing to lose at this point. so if kyle is holding back still for any reason, no reason not to now.

The more weapons we lose, the more we have no chance to scheme around his injury-driven restrictions. That negative paired with his other flaws or limitations are an absolute recipe for disaster.
Mullens delivered some deep dimes yesterday which made my eyes bug out a little. He beat the blitz more often. These are things Jimmy can do when healthy, but even then, it's not consistent. The fact that -- even at his best -- Jimmy isn't that much better than Mullens at his best (at least in some areas), that really shows we've got a major problem.
I don't know how bad Jimmy has to be for us to move on. I just hope whatever happens, we don't look back thinking "what if" while being stuck with mid-tier player who may not ever surpass that level.
Great post. Best one in the thread since yesterday's debacle
I think I just found the worst and dumbest one, lol. (Kyle needing to go too)

It's far more likely they'll draft another defensive lineman in the first round rather than a quarterback regardless of how bad Jimmy has been
They looked at Tom Brady coming off our SB season, if that's not saying anything i don't know what you are looking for. They got scared off because he was still demanding 30 mil plus.
Also they didn't restructure his contract which could saved some money, they like everyone else, are in wait and see mode. Ca t believe i was arguing with people if he was elite or not just a couple of weeks ago lol
That's true, I guess. But I just think they were doing their due diligence since Brady is the 🐐. And it had nothing to do with their confidence with Garappolo.
I guess I'll just never believe it until I see it. I really wonder if they would draft a Watson or Mahomes type of prospect with the experience they have today

I just find it so funny and ironic that myself, NYniner, CatchMaster and some others were ridiculed because of our desire to see our passing offense throw the ball vertically and not consistently dump the ball at the end of scrimmage, in fear of what could happen if a team stopped the short dink and dunk offense.
We were told we were being bad fans because it was working, and we were being bad fans to look at the future and hypothesize what could happen if we kept this style of offense up.
Well, Seattle blitzed a lot and took away the short stuff. And what happened? Jimmy had the worst outing out of any QB playing Seattle this season. He played exponentially worse than QBs who WZ says are far inferior QBs to Jimmy.
Its time for even the homers to call a spade a spade.
