Hope it works out, just having a hard time being overly optimistic about a guy with 2 career starts.

vs a rookie with 0 career starts? ok

Hell yea but Jimmy G might win us a few games and Cle might snag him up.

The Browns will draft a QB. They can't pass up another first round QB.

Browns can do anything. But, this gives up so much flexibility. We can trade down for some QB desperate team who is willing to mortgage their immediate future or we draft THE PLAYMAKER from this draft.

If we can draft ahead of the Browns we can trade pick 1 for 2 and rape them like the Bears.
Damn! John Lynch doesn't f**k around lol

Fair point this year, but that's only because there is one person worthy of a top 3 pick.

You have no idea whether a QB taken in the 2nd will turn out bad. FFS JG was taken in the second round lol.

I don't. Exactly. One has better idea of a QB who has already played in the NFL.

Are you really this dense?

I'm indifferent tbh..regardless we still need a team around him

But drafting rookies with 0 starts and using a top 5 pick is fine?

You guys need a life. The update popped on my phone. I come to the zone to create a thread and bust out the news and there's already one three pages in. Damn you armchair news reporters.

Blame Schefter. I saw his tweet notification on my phone while eating dinner, went on the WZ and saw nobody talking about it one minute after the fact so made the thread lol. I figured this board would have been exploding by then.
I would sit him for the next two games. Then we have the bye week. Then have him start vs Seattle. This way at least Brown comes back. Who knows about Joe. He's a tough SOB so he could be back by then. Need to have a little bit of an o-line or he will get murdered
I like the trade and ya it's a risk but so is the number 2 pick on a rookie. At least this is a second and we've seen the guy play in the nfl. Maybe they heard Kurt wasn't coming. Glad Lynch don't sit around and not try. So many complainers nobody would ever be happy with what the guy in charge does.

Have a feeling we may win a game or two with Garoppolo. Let's hope Browns do too. Getting no. 1 pick will be huge now if Garoppolo plays as expected.

I mean we could throw a #1 overall pick at a kid who has zero starts?
