I'm not sold Jimmy is the guy, but not as gung ho about moving on from him- yet. We aren't going to be better in 2021 starting from scratch. Plus, I think we will get a lot better than what we've seen with a competent starting C and RG. Not that Mike McGlinchey has been anything to write home about, but perhaps he can be beaten out next year. He will definitely have a lot of weapons at his disposal so we shall see.

The thread has a history of mirroring his most recent performance level.
Until he improves you probably shouldn't expect any better.
that's fair. that or when he's gone should things be expected to be any different.

I think getting a really good center could be all they need to upgrade the line. Historically, teams with a great center have usually been really solid. The Dolphins in the 70s and the Steelers in the 80s. The Raiders in the 70s. The Niners in the 80s. A great center not only handles the line calls but if he's able to take on a nose tackle alone then it frees up the guards to help with the edges.

Y'all need to stop worrying about the cap. I know that sounds head-in-the-sand, but there's no way the NFL is going to let the cap situation be as dismal as it's looking next year. These are ultra-rich owners. I'm pretty sure they're going to be willing to up the cap under an exception this off-season. Otherwise, any team in contention this year is screwed next year, not just us. They haven't released anything about it because this is the first year in a long time that teams actually have a LOT of leverage with pending FA's. Mark my words, there will be a cap adjustment right before FA this year and every will know what it is by February 15th.
Anyone still not think the NFL isn't going to make cap adjustments?

Wouldn't that set a bad precedent for the owners? Cap is based on revenue sharing. The low $$ owners may not be ok with paying the players over profits.

Alex Smith throws. That is the measuring stick at this point. SMFH.

I wish those geezer b*****ds could leave the cap alone and swallow some profit loses for the sake of the product quality. If the cap drops, players salaries will be cut and plenty of veterans will be without a job.

You would think because won't one of the nfl darling Saints be near over the cap by almost $100 million?

Jimmy & Tommy have the same agent & TB12 has taken those team-friendly deals from the Patriots for years & also has been to 9 Super Bowls.
Granted, Jimmy hasn't married the world's greatest supermodel to supplement that lost fooseball income.
Maybe it's time to see how much JG has learned from the great Tom Brady

Pretty much we're gonna have to draft Wilson (hopefully 🤞🏻), and get used to the fact that the 2021 season is likely going to be somewhat mediocre as he gets up to speed. Then we'll be ready to make another run in 2022.
