The difference between Garoppolo and Mullens as passers is as enormous as ever.

Exactly. The big difference between Jimmy and Mullens is the quick release Jimmy has. I just noticed how slow the ball floats especially to the screen to Deebo on the last play. Not saying Jimmy is great but he's good enough when there is a running game.
Haven't posted in awhile because of physical problems so here goes. Mullens is short, immobile and has a weak arm. At best he's a backup or a backups backup. So much knock on Jimmy G but he got us to a SB and was a defensive stop from #6. He looks lost in the pocket if he has to scramble and he can't make plays with his feet. That sixth sense to move in the pocket under pressure can't be taught. If all the pieces are in place along with drafting some studs on the OL he can win. Coach is a smart dude, he can develop a QB and still keep us in contention. Let him call the shots on the QB he wants, I'm ok with that.
You guys remember shaun hill? Mullens reminds me of him. Good for a game in a pinch but try to string 3 games together and it's damn near impossible.

Heal up jimmy G.

Garoppolo is better than Mullens but Garoppolo is not fool proof. Thinking there would be a blow out when guys are putting the ball on the floor is silly. Who knows say Garoppolo is back there and gets one of those hits that Mullens took would probably shatter him into a million pieces. Everything turned out the way it was supposed to be, a defensive battle and sloppy handling of the ball.

you forgot LOL at the end.

Poverty mentality in this thread.

This team is built to win right now. It's not rebuilding. It doesn't need to "retool" or whatever BS trope fans type into their keyboard.

When healthy this is very likely the best roster in the NFL. Certainly top 3.

Garoppolo has been too good to you. You've forgotten what absolute s**t QB play looks like. We can't do better in the offseason with a veteran...and we won't do s**t in 2021 with a rookie QB. That's that.

The time to win is right now. Not 2022.

Which of the best NFC teams do the niners match-up well with? The NFC East doesn't count. Without Bosa/Ford or a pass rush, gonna be tough. If they made SB by some act of God, the Chiefs win by 40.

When healthy? Literally all of them.

This is what's comical. He was inconsistent week 1 which is expected in a normal year then factor in no preseason. Came out playing great week 2 vs the Jets before getting hurt. When he came back was clearly very hobbled by the injury and was rushed back. What's so hard about understanding what actually happened this year?

I know what good QB play looks like as well, and he aint. Turn on sunday night football if you need to see what a good QB looks like.

I'm just gonna take a wait and see approach if that's ok. Rather be pleasantly surprised than completely let down.

Shaun Hill was 10-6 as a 49ers starting quarterback. I know how much you guys love your QB W-L records in here.
