Just operating out of emotion. No logic involved.

I'm not emotional about Jimmy at all. I just don't think we can win a SB with him.

It is what it is. No crucifying, no hate, I just don't think he's the guy.

Maybe that's true. But I see no other better options to keep this team in the hunt for 2021. Happy to listen to anything that isn't pure fantasy.

Yeah, Jimmy is the best we have right now - until we can find something better.

This team is built to win right now. It's not rebuilding. It doesn't need to "retool" or whatever BS trope fans type into their keyboard.

When healthy this is very likely the best roster in the NFL. Certainly top 3.

Garoppolo has been too good to you. You've forgotten what absolute s**t QB play looks like. We can't do better in the offseason with a veteran...and we won't do s**t in 2021 with a rookie QB. That's that.

The time to win is right now. Not 2022.

This. Right. Here.

49ers brass will not give the keys of this top 3 roster to a rookie qb, not gonna happen

Why bother though? Who decides what fantasy is and isn't? Some ideas are less realistic than others (trading for Rodgers. Lol) but it's very easy to dismiss something that can't be proven.

Anything involving the draft can be instantly dismissed, getting a vet instantly dismissed. Trying to revive a QB who landed in a bad situation can be instantly dismissed.

There are several options that "could" be better and at the same time "could" be worse, but all are immediately dismissed because there's no guarantees of improvement or there's a potential scenario where it gets worse.

The reality is that nobody knows. You don't have a clue, I don't have a clue, none of us have a clue what will happen to this team next year with or without Jimmy G.

It's not about being emotional or illogical (again, trading Rodgers. Lol), it's just difference of opinion.

Because you can't see a better team without Jimmy doesn't mean others can't. Is what it is and we won't really know until it happens - or doesn't happen.

I'm not stumping for Garoppolo. I'm saying nobody has an idea of how to move on from him AND stay in the SB race in 2021. They're a dog chasing a car with no plan once it gets there.
Any idea when he may be eligible to return from injury?

Possible for Washington, Dallas more likely.

And what I'm saying is that if someone came in here and said we could make a SB with Darnold because Darnold was just in a bad situation you would immediately dismiss it as "not viable".

Who decides what is or isn't viable?

Like I said. Anything can be dismissed or thrown up as a way forward when it can't be proven one way or the other.
any chance he plays next week?

He's actually 5th. Kap gained over 4k yds in 2014

Let's see some 2020 highlights.....oh wait. Nevermind.

This is what's comical. He was inconsistent week 1 which is expected in a normal year then factor in no preseason. Came out playing great week 2 vs the Jets before getting hurt. When he came back was clearly very hobbled by the injury and was rushed back. What's so hard about understanding what actually happened this year?
