The difference is, Jimmy didn't have that much pressure until the 4th quarter. Mahomes had it from the first drive. Without his ability to move around, Mahomes would have been sacked at least 10 times.

And until the 4th quarter Jimmy was 18/22......

Then went 3/9 and how many times has, "worst 4th quarter ever" been said about Jimmy?

That's. The. Point.

During your review, how many of the 22 do you feel the ball was thrown to the correct place?

Just curious because IMO, one of the biggest misses of the entire game was one of the 18 completed passes.

One check down short of a 1st down isn't going to make or break the SB, especially with how the final 10 minutes went. It could have

You'd also still be ignoring the other 17 completions. Did Brady not have a bad pass yesterday? not ignoring them nor did I say that about Brady

The OPI on Kittle was also a big difference in the game, but you dont bring that up. I didnt bring it up, but that doesn't mean I am ignoring it.

You're distracting from the point of pressure. You're saying that Jimmy wasn't pressured until the 4th so it doesn't absolve him, but everyone's point was that he's getting blamed for the 4th when the OL couldn't pass pro. I dont care what everyone's point was. My point is he left plays on the field even during the 18/22.

I really don't get why you can't admit that, maybe, juat maybe thr 4th quarter collapse wasn't on Jimmy. But that would take you admitting you've been wrong for the past year. feel like you are lumping me in with the group when I have never once said Jimmy was the only/single reason why there was a 4th quarter collapse.

I guess I am sorry I asked. Completely danced around my question.

No he didn't. He answered you logically and concisely. The problem being you have been wrong for the last year and do not want to admit it which has forced you out of the logical paradigm and into a world of negativity not buttressed by evidence and careful reason

No he didnt. I specifically asked him if there were any of the 22 attempts that he felt Jimmy went to the wrong place, and he started rambling on about other stuff.

Kittle OPI? Irrelevant to my question.

4th quarter pressure? Irrelevant to my question.

4th quarter collapse? Irrelevant to my question.

Him saying I have been wrong for a year? Irrelevant to my question.

Yes he did

Solid reply.

Thanks buddy

He does throw deep! Remember back to back 3rd and 18s!

He can carry the team with his arm! Remember N.O.!

He is mobile! Remember...

He is durable! Remember...

He can throw to the sidelines! Remember...

Etc etc...

It's like you have to go into an entire Lecture session about what the word consistency means, and how it relates to being a good team.

I love Jimmy. I think we can win a superbowl with him easily. Can he make all the throws? No. Does he have issues with the deep ball? Yes. Does he have issues throwing to the sidelines? Yes.

Do I think he's the best qb we've had since young? Yes.

Are you still going to complain about him next year when Kyle and John confirm him as our starter? You know they know better then you? Agree right?

56 mph is solid and about what I'd expect from him. Throwing well with that gun on you is pretty much parallel with what we see on tape. Straight ahead darts,...quick and powerful and alot of times placed well.

Unfortunately,...those speeds arent accounting for throws out and over the top of defenses,....nor do they give you a clue about a player's ability to be accurate with them. Jimmy happens to be erratic out there along the hashes down the field,....not much mph can do about helping that.

But yeah,...that's the context people are talking with when they rag on his arm,...not his ability to do what we've seen him do well over and over a sec or 2 after the snap.

Exactly. And I'll say... Jimmy is a decent QB. Obviously a stacked team can win with him. People take fans wanting to move on from him to mean that Jimmy is bad.

That's not the case at all. We just want someone more consistent. Jimmy is the definition of inconsistent, both in play and in health.

If Jimmy is our QB he'll have my full support. But if he sucks it up again or misses a ton of time due to injury, I'll be extremely upset that we passed up on better players in FA and th the draft and I think some FO changes will need to be made.

Bottom line. Jimmy is consistently inconsistent. He's good, not great. He's definitely not anywhere near as amazing as some of yall make him out to be.

You don't have to argue about degrees of pass blocking to agree that even the most amazing quarterback of all time Patrick Mahomes can look subpar without proper pass blocking.

People are making all kinds of excuses for Mahomes but last year when Garoppolo had constant pressure in his face, it was "man, Jimmy is the suxors, what's wrong with him?" Neither one received good pass blocking in the SB or even close. Chris Jones simply took over in the 4th quarter of that game it didn't seem like anyone was up to the task of blocking him. That's what happens when you're forced to play with backup level players, just as we saw KC's tackles get dominated last night.

Jimmy's pass being tipped in this instance isin't on him? That pass was to be had if it wasn't telegraphed,...and there was a guy open out in the flat on it as well. Leaning towards more of a failed play on the QB than KC's rush being overwhelming.

TB did what you have to do vs. KC,...which is build a lead while they're sputtering. Just so as to mix in some gifs that show there was certainly subpar play during the Super Bowl. We left plenty of points on the field.

did you know that o-lineman are also taught to knock the defender's hands down, or 'swat' them down? I thought you knew football? assess the entirety of whats going on as opposed to 1 fixated position. because as you say, it's a team sport.

you posted the same miss twice. just from a different angle. really trying to exaggerate your gif amount aren't we?

you're also sharing desperation throws when either A. the game was over and it didnt matter. B. it was what, 4th and 10, and yet another great example of the o-line getting manhandled.

the only gif that backs up your argument about leaving points on the field was the miss to Sanders. it is what it is on that one.

All in all, hit me up and shoot me a PM if you need any tips or advice on gifs. door is always open.

Those clips make me hate Jimmy even more. Should have signed Brady like I was saying.

hell yeah. we would be super bowl champs right now if we did too

Anyone know if his injury should be fully healed by now? Or is it possible he still requires off season surgery?

Well only the team doctors know, but I'm pretty sure it'll be healed, all the talk was that he could play in the playoffs if we made it.
If brady really wants to take his legend status to the next level he should sign with a bottom 5 team and try to make them a winner. The guy has yet to play on a team that wasn't loaded with talent around him. I think he has had a top 5 defense every year he has been in the league. Has always had a decent Oline. Just put him on a team that doesn't have a very good defense.

Brady rarely had a top 5 defense. It appears you just guessed that. Patriots typically had pretty average wide receivers and running backs. Offensive lines were usually good, but they were hardly mind blowing.

Should of went to Bourne on the missed long ball. Not hating on him for going deep but you miss that throw and it's 4th and long. He had Bourne, that's the #2 read and it doesn't take much to know he'd be open as Sanders was open on a double coverage that they botched.

Again not hating though as you make it you win and he was open but we paid for the miss.

Agree with most of what you said. I think he likes to throw inside, but he doesn't have issues throwing to the sidelines. I think Jeff Garcia would have something to say about Jimmy G being the best qb we have since Steve Young. Jeff Garcia had like 3 very good seasons.
