There we are vs. the Vikes with an unworthy chance of tying the game up before the half even though it shouldnt've been much of a contest by that point.

I'm not sure what Jimmy was trying to accomplish there🤔

prime example of what Jimmy needs to show he's improved on this season; always struggled to see the underneath or roaming Middle linebacker. same thing in the Panthers game that season to Kuechely.

He did this vs AZ in 2019 and week 1 as well (both in the RZ), I believe?

lol I was literally trying to remember the game where I recalled him throwing one in the redzone to the linebacker blindly like that. that might be the one. funny though

This is a good criticism of Garoppolo on an area of his game that needs to improve. Seeing things better, making better decisions, responding better to what the opposing D is trying to do to confuse him...these are some of the things he needs to improve on and I think he can & will.

Again, only 977 total career passing attempts - not a lot at all (his injuries + backing up to Brady). Also, I believe he can continue improving his command of this scheme and being all-around better in it.

agreed

I'm not sure any coach outside of Sean Payton is gonna choose to throw the ball more when your team is averaging 7+ yards per carry.

Yeah while I think he should have gotten more passing attempts in the playoffs, if you can hand the ball off and get 7 YPC no HC is gonna change that up.

i'm expecting him to have a great season if he stays healthy.

He does very well sometimes when things around him aren't "ticking along just fine", and there are plenty of times from his time here where he doesn't panic when things "get muddled up." Some examples:

-He comes back strong time and time again after throwing an INT and helps this team regain momentum (vs. going the other way & a blowout happens)
-He's shown to pick up his game with this team's D is not playing well and giving up a lot of points
-Helping lead this team to 7 late 4th Qtr. come-from-behind victories (things were definitely "muddled" there...he didn't panic)

Completely agree. The Niners were running it down both the Vikes' and Packers' throats.

We can acknowledge that if you can acknowledge that the 1st half of the Vikes game, we clearly came out passing the ball and mixing it up alot more (run & pass), but the passing game was clearly lacking by the end of it. It's all there on tape,...so how bout it?
did you really look at the 2nd half ?

The vikings 2nd half drives 7 total
4 3 and outs
3 turnovers

Vikings couldn't do anything..

also some forgot this happened

I wouldn't give such conspiracies from this poster the time of day. Not worth it along with the other "takes" I've seen quite awhile ago - haven't seen them since, if you know what I mean.

that's soo random

Vs Bucs: wtf was that???
Vs Bengals: bruhhhh….5 bengals defenders and 1 niner…and the pass wasn't even close to the niner player
Vs Steelers: completely on breida
Vs Steelers: ehh, ball placement could have been a bit better but not super egregious plus it was soft ass Petrie trying to make the play
Vs Rams: What a terrible pass all around. Horrible accuracy on it and it was in the red zone
Vs WFT: meh…the conditions were terrible and it was again to soft ass Pettis
Vs Panthers: horrible, looks like Jimmy forgot which team he played for. It was a perfect pass…to keuchly
vs Seattle: looked high but I can't tell if that was a typical Bourne boo boo where he would botch the catch and end up tipping it or if it was just too high to catch in the first place. I'm sure other replays can tell the whole story
Vs Cardinals: f**king disgusting lol. No excuse for this one. Just terrible terrible terrible
Vs Cardinals: Bad accuracy but dwelley still had a chance to catch it

can't see what happens after these plays since they put stupid ass ads for other videos up that take up my whole screen.

None of this means anything really. I'm sure if you pull up any QBs interception only video, it will look horrible. But since everyone was talking about interceptions I thought it would be interesting to go back and look.

I believe he came back and scored on the very next drive on those?

Probably. He was pretty good about that in 2019.

That's nice. We were lucky to get the ball back at all after his interception in the Arizona game.

Of the interceptions in that video, all but 1-2 are on Jimmy either due to poor ball placement or poor decision making.

Yep he usually makes up for it on the very next drive by scoring TDs and putting points on the board. Since he pretty much throws a pick at least once a game, sometimes I would want him to throw a pick on his very first pass of the game so he can get it over with and plays well for the rest of the game..lol
