What reasoning do you need? Have you not watched this squad? We got a good team and a 12-5 season is EASILY in the realm of possibility

got more 10 win season then old Jimmy jim jam. He actually played football games. Winning % isn't a QB stat, but you will never admit that…unless Jimmy loses a game, then you like a lot of people in here will point out to so and so being hurt or not having the best player at a position

LMAO, like a decade ago. He is 24-40 over the past 5 years.

Winning is a team stat, duh.

Your proposal to bring in Dalton to have the best player at QB does not make sense because Dalton is not that good.

The point is that Kyle probably could not win 10 games in 2021 with Dalton and he knows he can with Jimmy.

The fawning over him triggers me.

How is saying Kyle was legit interested in him equal to fawning over him? It's a fact.

Just let him troll. Ignore him

Look who is coattailing again, are bitter about people calling you a troll? Let people answer for themselves, NY is a big boy.

I don't think you are a troll.

You said that Lance was only considered when Kyle missed out on Stafford. That is the characterization I disagree with.
The 49ers never told Stafford or any one of his reps they had any interest in him.

Did they consider vet options, yes.
Did they pursue them, no.
Was Lance Plan A, yes.

I got us at 10 wins. Now there is potential to be much better than that. But there are quite a bit of ifs that need to happen for that.

My biggest worry would be on the defense. New DC, Sherman gone, how will Bosa look, how will Sam look in his new role, can Kinlaw have a breakout year, and can a rookie CB breakout.

Unless we are bombarded by injuries again, anything short of 10 wins would be a huge disappointment

I am just happy Kyle has improved the QB position. He has injected competition and urgency. Lets see if JG will respond. If he can get us deep into the playoffs, it will be huge for his trade capital down the road. If he continues to under perform, we have TL to step in and start his career. Seems like a win-win. I am actually hoping JG has a career year so we can get some draft capital while having a successful season but I am so pumped to see Trey at center.

I think 10 wins is low in a 17 game season. That's only 3 games over .500. CMON MAN. You and I both know we are better then that.

New DC? Yeah, but he has been on the squad so the change won't be drastic. He will have his own wrinkles, but overall will be very similar

Sherman gone? He is on the backside of his career and it was time to switch it up. We have 2 solid starters in Verrett and Moseley w/ K'Waun in the slot, not worried.

How Bosa will look? Easily a top 5 pass rusher this year (if not the best). He is young and will recover from the injury nicely, not worried.

How Sam will look in his new role? This is a question mark but with reports that Ford is looking healthy and with the pieces we have, I'm confident he will contribute nicely.

Can Kinlaw have a breakout year? ABSOLUTLEY. Kids a stud and is putting in the hard work. At this point, I have no doubt he will improve on his rookie campaign and will be a great starter in this league for years (with potential to be top tier)

Can a rookie CB breakout? Nobody knows this but good thing is, they have some time to develop since they aren't forced into high playing time roles, right away.

I agree the D is more of a question mark right now, but it's very close. The team is very solid on both sides of the ball which will translate into a very good season. I still think 12 wins is very attainable with this squad. With that being said, injuries can always derail seasons but I can only speak on a healthy roster and a healthy 9ers roster gets 12 wins AT LEAST.

the things you are saying it's like they are set in stone. You don't know these things for a fact, not even the coaches as of now.

And no, Moseley is not solid. He got destroyed several times last year when he had to start. He's a good depth corner, but one of the rookies are gonna have to step up if we want to have a good secondary. And hopefully Verette can stay healthy again as well.

Like I said, a lot of "ifs" have to happen for the defense to continue to be solid. It's possible, but don't make it sound like a guarantee either.

That's because it is set in stone baby. I bookmarked the page so I can check in on you when we rollin. Proof is in the pudding, you just gotta open your mouth and taste it my friend. I understand your conservative viewpoints but you're not giving credit where credit is due. Aiming low will never get you a headshot.

Dalton at $5M Jimmy at $26.4M the difference in play vs price isn't even remotely close. That's the point dude.
