Examples of what? If it's okay with Zero I'll dig it up.

examples of his work ethic. we went over this already. you have some weird assumption that doesn't put in hard work because he doesn't post on IG or other social media.

"i don't dissect male bodies but i do dissect their mindset" is basically what youre doing and that is high comedy.

I believe the OL will be better, but I dont see them being a top unit in the league. In 2019, PFF rated us the 14th best OL in the NFL. Even if we improve some, it wont be improvement to the point we are a top 5 OL in the league. So lets say we are 9th. GOing from 14th to 9th is exactly what I said...."slightly better."

Also, people can say ___, ___, and ____ are better than what we had in 2019 at running back, but the simple fact of the matter is, we were the #2 running team in the league (and if you eliminate QB rushing into the equation, we were easily the #1 running team in the NFL). So while you look at our players and project them being better, you simply cannot be better than the best team in football, which we were in 2019.

So no SkyZer0, I am not "always the pessimist," I just cant get behind people making opinion based statements presented as facts.
I can respect this opinion. 2019 was a great squad had a blast watching every game. However, with these statements you're basically saying you don't have any interest in projecting the 2021 team. Which is also fine but something that people on message boards like to do.

Offensive line: maybe slightly better but time will tell
Running game: no improvement
Tight end: no improvement
Wide receiver: slight improvement if any

Where is this "vast improvement" that you speak of?
Are you kidding me. The online is better at Center, LT and RG. Mike Person was a turnstile and Joe Staley was old and hobbled.
At RB: Mostert, Sermon, Gallman, Hasty is an upgrade over Brieda, Mostert, and Coleman mainly because Brieda and Mostert were always hurt.

haha always the pessimist

to the bold, why does that matter exactly? and why are you so worried about that? just because Joe understandably receives criticism doesn't automatically give Jimmy some free pass or something.

i don't think anybody is trashing other players on purpose just so our "QB appears better". just kind of weird to assume that? unless that's just the impression you receive from most people who criticize other positions on offense.

also who said top 5 in the league? if I missed something, correct me.

we seriously have NOTHING to complain about as niner fans. other teams/fans would kill to be in the spot we're in; yet, there always is room for complaint for some reason lol

Agreed, SkyZer0. I'm glad it worked out the way it did. Garoppolo + Lance + Rosen or Sudfeld plus all the other talent signed/re-signed/drafted...let's roll! Looking forward to this squad taking on any team in the league.

a key factor we're forgetting; a true homefield advantage again with fans

going to be sooo f**king hype for us but most importantly for the players

You don't think that evened out last year with our away opponents not having homefield advantage?

Or is Levi's Field really a place where opposing offenses cant hear anything?

did you become a fan after 2019 or do you not remember 2019?

Huh? Is he saying Levi's isn't loud, man 2019 was off the hook all year, especially after the NFC Championship win.

As for the offseason, hell yeah, we did what I said we would, Trent, Juice, Jones, Tartt, Verrett all back, added 2 FAs, added cheap vets, got some very very good rooks, extended Warner, now next year, Bosa will be extended, and hopefully Deebo & Dre.

random, who else?

Lol you're getting like Woo now.

Doubt it,...as I'm not into dissection male body body parts over the offseason as much as some others (you, for instance). Unless I had a 200 lb basketball center on my team that was outmuscled all year, how sculpted a guy is or isin't doesn't move the needle for me.

I am alot more of an on-the-playing-field observer than you are, though,...and have said (and proven to you w/details, remember?) that Jimmy has a penchant for slow starts and it's a safe assumption for me that he could work harder to improve his game every offseason more than he does. Wasn't he a LBer at one point in his career before switching up?

I don't think he has the work-a-holic gene,...no doubt about it. But we have this young rook that I'd bet has lit a fire. Which,...isin't going to show up with body pics, btw. I believe Kaepernick looked like a Greek God @ some points out there, but probably could've worked on X's and O's and fundamentals more.

So per the usual,...just clearing up misinfo.

"on-the-playing-field observer"

"work-a-holic gene"

imagine being so pretentious that you literally have to make your own s**t up like that

exactly why I asked if he started watching in 2020 or just totally forgot, lol. Levi's was f**king loud. place was jacked.

Oh boy,...lol.

2019, isint the only year in the history of the stadium, is it?

We didn't play all of our games last year at home. The benefits that were lost at home were gained on the road. We still stunk passing the ball for the most part. Do you get that concept if nothing else?

Now if we're talking Settle,... That's different.

How many places can you find thst rank us in the top 10 in terms of stadium noise and HFAdvantage tho?

https://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=736154d0be734580b8437f3978e65092#detail

Just an example of a list that we aren't on. Just as an example,... If we are 16th,...its a wash and the benefit we gain at home w/fans this year is lost because the benefit we pretty much lose from last year in quiet places where the offense was able to operate.

It just so happens that our passing game mostly sucked last year so of course, we erase that out of our agenda'd fairytale ideas we have for this year.

That's 2019 when we were dominant. What about the other years? Lol. You truly don't get the concept of home field advantage if you don't get that with some places, even without a Super Bowl - bound team - you can still have crowds that are absolutely nuts and tip the edge in your favor.

Every time you only reference 2019, then you are supporting my argument. It's 2021.

About half of our games will be on the road this year,... And their fans will be back in full effect as well our passing game loses an advantage if anything (road), while our defense probably gets a boost (home). Moot point.

And our 1st 2 games are on the road, so dead point.

Whatever advantages our passing game will have this year will have to be earned.

wait so you think it's smart to bring in a cheaper vet without any experience with the team during a Super Bowl window just so the team can save some cash? you do realize with all of our signings and without a restructure, Jimmy's 2021 salary already fits into our cap. you seem to think we cant afford Jimmy's salary this season for some reason.

We had a SUPER TEAM in 2019 and our passing game limped its way to the big game in even his best year. Maybe this kid motivates him,....I just dont see the same player you do that could propel us to a Super Bowl this year. I mean we have solid talent and could really boom with a "ready" Lance, I just don't think our talent as of now is 2019 caliber.

but what's really changed?

Williams for Staley
Mack for Richburg
Aiyuk for Sanders
Kinlaw for Buck
Gallman for Breida/TeCo

so no Sherman. what else?

this is basically the same team that won the NFC

Is this what you were talking about Boast? Sorry, but there are just so many factors that are moving parts. Inserting former Pro Bowlers here, X'ing out former Pro Bowlers there, acting like all the other variables in the NFL (the other 31 teams) have stayed the same, ignoring coaching changes, circumstances, aging ("it's only 2 years" when the average NFL career is 2 1/2 yrs), you name it,...lol.

Sorry but I can't give this any more attention than it deserves. We don't play football in a Santa Clara bubble. We look to have a team that can contend, for sure. But it's NOT the 2019 team by any stretch.
