Maybe I was speaking another language before, so I'll translate: there are no best or worst case scenarios. Playing angry/Preparing angry/etc. is stuff that's just out of character for him, given what we've seen from Jimmy. Even if he plays lights out, "doubters" don't fuel his play.
.
i'll take Kyle's word over some random Niner fan on a forum who's blatantly biased against Jimmy
"I'm sure Jimmy was a little pissed off from it just like I would be," Shanahan said Monday. "But me knowing Jimmy, he will be fired up and come in and work his butt off. The more mad Jimmy gets, usually the better he gets."
Just calling it as I see it. Shanahan had to say something.
And "coming in and working his but off" is something I kinda already alluded to.
I wanna hear alot more about him working hus butt off before he comes in, tho. I think that part is a lacking compared to those extra-motivated guys that train hard away from the team.
yeah. i think you believe you know more about Jimmy than Kyle. i'm not surprised.
Or is it this?? What did you prove? a quote from our head coach that approved trading 3 picks to get someone else?
Come on boast,...I appreciate your passion for your team's players, but have some self-control here.
"He comes in and works his butt off" (a quote you of course take to heart because you love the guy)
vs.
"He's pretty much a slow starter at the beginning of the year then seems to pick it up, unlike some other QBs." (my words)
Uhmmm,...dude,...don't you see that the coachspeak-quote parallels what I'm saying? Where have I ever suggested he doesn't come in during the season and work hard? I've specifically questioned for the past several years what he truly works on to improve his game as a QUARTERBACK.
Nothing about his muscles, nothing about how hard he works after the offseason. Starting out slow as a passer and coming in working hard to get better go hand in hand.
And I wish we could be given more evidence than we have when this season starts, but it's one of those situations where his results from the past several years are etched in stone. Because if he's all of a sudden better game 1 now that Trey here I'm saying "told you so",...and if he comes in throwing errant passes everywhere the first few games, I'm still saying "told you so."
It's just one of those things that are locked into the past and you just have to swallow your pride here boast. Cheers.
