I know this is the Jimmy thread, but who cares! iron sharpens iron, and that's all that matters. May the best man win and may the best quarterback who gives us the best opportunity to win start this season

It was loud compared to previous years, but that's not saying much. Our crowd noise is one of the worst in NFL.

Just speaking for myself, I was at the home game vs AZ in 2019....I've been to multiple NFL games in different stadiums and that was the loudest game I've been too.

Having a winning season helps for sure.

Yep went to the Monday nighter against Seattle. That place was rocking!!!

cant wait to have a true homefield advantage back!

yes sir

idk where we're going, but let's f**kING GOOOO

That's an odd take at best. Trolling at the worst.

Both teams aren't desperate and will give their rookies time to develop. If you can avoid putting too much pressure on them, you do so. Hell, Simone Biles had to drop out of the team competition in the Olympics because she couldn't deal with the pressure. She's a champ and a vet. These young guys are coming off of a weird college football season into a job where the guys are bigger and faster and every team you play is good.

I'm saying Andy Dalton and Jimmy G are similar players. That's why a team would draft their replacement but use them as a bridge. I wish there was a term for that.

Yeah imo Jimmy is the starter until he's not…could change in TC, week 3, week 10 who knows. I'll be shocked if he's the starter all yr. shocked… If that happens it's because he's playing at a pro-bowl level, which everyone is cool with.

Trey Lance = Simone Biles

I agree that the notion Shanahan wanted Stafford or Dalton over Lance is absurd. Shanahan would have made a move for them if he wanted them and Lance is better than both.

No one besides you is saying Lance was a consolation prize...there's just a timeline to it, that's all. I would say at that point when they were interested in MS they didn't do all their evaluations on the rookies or have a legit trade partner.

He wanted to improve at the starting QB position and he looked at all his possibilities. One was Stafford and that took place back in January. He also was clearly interested in Lance along with the other rookies. It was all about making it work and how much.

Dalton was never meant to be the starter, he was meant to be a cheaper bridge/backup to a rookie (at that point in the timeline). They very well could have said to Dalton (who never came in for a visit) hey we will get back to you after the draft. Same with Flacco. You already know what happened with Stafford, Kyle talked about it...you want to think he lied just because of your feelings toward Stafford fine. No one cares anymore. You get so defensive with all that, yet you're the only one still bringing it up lol. It's over we got our guy.

Did Shanahan or the 49erd ever show any interest in Stafford to the Lions or Stafford?
No, that shows the interest level in Stafford.

You keep saying they pursued Stafford and then turned to other options after getting outmaneuvered.
