Doesn't seem like he's improving. Both interceptions sound like the same mistakes he always make.

I'm not surprised. He hit his peak years ago and it's very rare to see players vastly improve after their mid/late 20s, and he's already 30.

With that said, we still need to see Trey play in preseason games before we give him the starting job. If he Jimmy also looks average in preseason but Trey impresses, then Jimmy does need to take that pay cut and just backup Lance.

Totally disagree. Quarterbacks often improve over the years, in fact you generally haven't seen anywhere near their best before the late 20's at the earliest. With the impact of the injuries I really can't see how you can make this sort of sweeping statement that he hit his peak years ago.

This is just training camp.

I can't think of too many QBs that have vastly improved after the age of 30.

QBs can still improve in their 30s if they are already great, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. But outside of like Kurt Warner, can't really think of many other QBs that went from a middle of the pack, to being a top 5 type of QB or close to that.

It doesn't happen often, if ever. If a QB in their 30s starts playing better than they ever have, it's usually a result of them finally finding the right situation and being placed in a position to succeed for the first time in their career.

Totally, when we see a QB Improve with age/experience, It's normally because he's put In a better situation, It's not like a QB all of a sudden becomes a better QB. They will still have the same weaknesses/strengths.. they have always had. Good coaches can help mask it with good coaching, and by giving his QB better protection/more talent to help him out a little.

Any word on Wentz's foot scan? Jimmy would look good in a Colts uniform.

So they still need a starter

They'll probably be looking for more if Wentz is out for an extended period of time.

Without a doubt, Hundley is not the answer if they need a starter.

Rich Gannon

Did Rich Gannon improve or just finally get put in a good situation with a coach that put him in a position to succeed? It's hard to say.

I can't think of an example of a QB in their 30s significantly improving without changing teams or coaches.
Jimmy for Buckner do it

doubt it, they just want some one to manage at a low cost until Wentz comes back
A good chance to go deep into playoffs we need two QBs that can continue that level of success.
