We had a 10 point lead. Jimmy 100% could've and should've won us that game and he flat out failed but the defense deserves just as much criticism. Nobody stepped up. Nobody.
Treys here to fix this though
Trey wasn't brought on because Jimmy didn't bring in a win at the SB, but because he had missed so many games.
JG is a winner who has a record of finishing games competively.
LOL
I thought his ankle was only attached by the skin?
You don't give up 3 first round picks just because the other guy is missing games, that type of draft capital says replacement.
I doubt thats the formula for giving up 3 first rounders.
Remember since november is was priority #1 to make QB depth a strength. They explored all options.. Keeping jimmy and drafting his future replacement was their best option they liked
If Trey was selected at #2 who would be our QB right now?
Zach Wilson or Trevor Lawrence.
Had we stayed at 12 we still may have gotten Trey Lance. It's hard to know given all the craziness of the 2020 college season and scouting process.
We moved to 3 to reduce uncertainty.
