Wow, that makes sense. The other side was an Ohio amd if Deebo is there you get a triple concept, Ohio, Divide and sucker. Still puts Deebo as the 3rd and sherffield did a great job communicating to create the divide concept. But that triple combo makes more sense vs zone than what we ran as it gives 3 options vs different possible zones.

Cool story but what does Schlereth know about QB'ing.

He knows what Joel Klatt tells him .

For non-Denver-ites, Schlereth does the morning shows and Joel calls in once a week and tells Mark what he is actually seeing from a QB standpoint rather than what Schlereth is guessing. But overall Schlereth is pretty funny and what you would expect from Staley doing a morning show... though I bet Staley could come up with a better green chili recipe.

Schlereth also covers a number of our games, including the one last week.

I mean.....he played under Mike Shanahan and with John Elway for a long time.....

Even the Announcers made note during the game that the Niners adjusted their offence to take advantage of the Eagles D attacking up the field. Moved from direct handoffs to more toss plays. Went to a heavy Screen game to RBs, TEs, WRs & more quick short passes.

Did this clown even watch the game?

Anyone with All-22 access care to post the 1st half misses passing the ball before we got into rhythm on that last drive? All-22 or it didn't happen.

It's amazing how our own fans can erase out of their minds whatever they wish...even stuff only a couple days old.

Not unless you also want the big plays posted. Otherwise that's just lowlighting and not showing everything.

He's also a big Niners fan because of the RB coach. His co-host (name escapes me, Orlando Franklin?) is the RB coaches son in law. Last time I had a morning commute was in 2019 but that year Schlereth would compare everything the Broncos needed to do to what the Niners were doing at the time. Bronco fans wanted to hate it but they love the Shanahans and still blame Elway for letting Kyle come to the Niners. Who knows what happened behind the scenes but in Denver there was a big belief that if Elways ego as a GM didnt get involved Kyle would of been the coach.

lol why would anyone really care what happened in the first few drives before adjustments were made?

it's amazing how our own Random49er just wants everyone to focus on the negative.

this goes back to "the club's" predilection for presenting Jimmy's performance in a vacuum or without context

Jimmy DGAF who's running what on that play. He's threading the needle behind the defender and before the safety gets there. Gotta appreciate that throw by Jimmy.

PFF's QB ratings are a joke. They literally give style points. That's what it measures. QB's are given a zero for executing the play as they think it was meant to be.

OL is a little better, but even then doesn't account for scheme. Trent Williams called it out last year, said they had him credited with sacks given up on the year when the 49ers in house analysis unit - that actually knows the scheme of the plays called, had him with 0.

Tells me all I need to know about PFF's QB ratings.

It's not on them. It's on you guys for making so much out of ratings after only a couple weeks. Not the same as rankings.

The ranked ratings are not meant to be rankings?

LOL

You're completely lost on the difference, IT-at-Home guy. This is no surprise.

Kinda knocks the wind out of your sails a little bit with all of that stock put into the greatness of it then finding out we just got lucky on that one. But yea that's where veteran leadership comes into play to help win a close one.

Luck, did the pass bounce off a few players and landed in deebos hands or something?
