yup, we don't have that here

We could have.

What players are we referring to exactly?

Right if we had a top end GOAT QB who doesn't have to play for $40M a yr because he just wants to win....nah we're good with Jimmy

we were told that is why we did have some guys come back cuz we were set up to win now. we were told that is why we never moved jimmy in the off season cuz we were set up to win now. we were told jacob k would make us forget about buck. we also saw guys that failed with us move on and be productive. no names mentioned but initials are thomas.. again a testament to the ineptness of our coaches

But in fairness, I don't think anyone wasnt a little blown away we were able to keep all of those players in tact, even if one year deals. I think the 9ers were surprised to.

It sure seemed like a hell of a way to come into the season but…

I don't think the office is inept in what they did. Maybe secondary a ? But even then, this team looked to contend big time.

The QB needs to go. The top 8 teams all have one thing in common even if other holes. They have top rated QBs who can carry a team thru a game in emergency situations be it injuries, poor play on any given Sunday. Bad defensive day?

Jimmy carry the team? Never. Time to stop pretending otherwise.

Ugh must be nice having a elite QB that you can continue to restructure his contract knowing he's gonna be good so who cares.
did they even ask jimmy.. like you said. i do not think he offered to do such

Jimmy didn't have leverage or negotiating room. He could have been cut and paid 2m or so. The 49ers should have offered him 14m instead of 24m or said "Pound Sand". Nobody else was gonna offer him more, least I don't think. Could have paid more defense.

The 49ers could have then signed any number of journeymen to have a crappy season just like this. Sprinkled in some Lance every now and then. In fact we may have faired better. Jimmy is God awful.

This is a perfect example of why completion percentage isnt nearly as important of a stat as some make it out to be.

Yeah, I edited the post to add that on to avoid being labeled as biased.

It broke my heart when I heard Bill Walsh say that sometimes coaches are not always truthful in how they answer questions. Sometimes you just have to lie in order to protect the interests of the team.

So we should just believe a book by some random journalist over our beloved head coach? There's a lot of incentive for this author to embellish the truth in order to sell more copies of his book.

Lots of incentive for a coach to lie about the situation as well. He's just covering his behind and doesn't want people to think he's the kind of idiot that would do this AND pass on Tom Brady's Championship Tour.

Who to believe? Nobody knows for sure. I really have soured on him as a coach. I was excited initially, had the pedigree and the team went to the Superbowl but overall his record is a losing one.

Watching the product on the field. It isn't fun to watch, at all. Not a good product on the field. The team is playing like their coach, not good enough IMO. I have more anxiety watching Niners games than excitement nowadays.
