Jimmy played his best game as a 49er IMO today, very proud of him, over 300 yards, 2 rush TDs, did really good.

I'd give New Orleans a call tomorrow. Just saying.

Maybe even tell them we can take on most of the contract for 2021 if they don't have the cap space.

I highly doubt we eat any cap room, plus Jimmy has to approve the deal, he has a NTC.

Agree - his best game. Played w/some guts.

After the way he played I just can't see him being traded.

Nobody is trading for Jimmy until at least the off season. How many teams even have the cap space to take on what's left of Jimmy's contract this year?

WTF happened to the Bears defense? Didn't they use to be good?

lol are you guys new? In 2019 he completed 74% of his passes for 350 yds, 4 TD's, and a 131.7 passer rating in New Orleans against a 10-2 Saints team. He had a bunch of games that year that were better than this one.

totally agree. His best game yet this year. Hopefully we take this win from cardinals and give the rams a run for their money on Monday night .

Anyone have the clip of the incomplete pass to Deebo over the middle?

From my initial look it seemed to be an errant pass… but everyone's saying it was on Deebo.

It was slightly behind him, but a top receiver like Deebo snags that. Later on Jimmy threw one in the dirt that Deebo hauled in with a end on him so that made up for it.

Mack didn't play, so that's taking their best pass rusher off the field.

it was a tad behind deebo but honestly an easy catch nonetheless

Haven't you heard? Jimmy is the problem. Once the Niners get rid of him we're totally winning the Super Bowl!
Jimmy was great. Saved Kyle and Lynch from further embarrassment today.
Jimmy had a good game today. I really liked that he wasn't afraid to push the ball down field and did so on multiple plays.

Not that simple though, he needs to agree to the trade, not sure why he would do that. Also teams never eat cap room, plus what kind of pick do you expect them to get for him? If they eat cap room it has to be a 1st rd pick, I'm not eating $20M+ for a 2nd or 3rd.

Why wouldn't he agree? The Saints are contenders outside of their need for a quarterback…

He should especially if they convert next years contract to a guarantee even if not $25M
Let's be real. It'll be rare he faces this weak of a pass rush again. Once he feels that pressure he is like a chicken with out a head in the pocket.

Hey there's no doubt that Jimmy's played on the crappy side since the Seattle game. No excuse making he just hasn't done as well as he could. I'm a big Jimmy fan and I fully admit that. Now do I blame the guy playing like he's ghosted since his head coach has publicly stated that he has no confidence in Jimmy and the franchise has treated him like a houseguest that wouldn't leave? I think none of that is really helped. And I also think that Jimmy he's the kind of guy that can put together the bread-and-butter performance that we need to beat mediocre teams. So still hoping for that. Kia Soul turnovers. The turnovers have to get pretty close to zero for us too control games the way we need to.

I was a big Jimmy fan when we first got him. Then he got hurt in 2018 but came back strong in 2019. YThen another injury. My confidence in him started waning.

It now looks to me like he isn't the guy that came here in 2017. He knows the offense better but he seems more tentative than ever. I don't know whether he's bothered by the fact that Trey is looking over his shoulder. He could be but there were a lot of his fans that said he would respond to the challenge and have a big year in 2021. He hasn't so far and I'm afraid his trade value is going down with every loss.

Unfortunately, I think Jimmy under Kyles system has been figured out. It took some time but the analysts got him, and we know it too. Some of us are hoping it's a mental thing that he suddenly snaps out of, but it appears much more than that as he's been exposed.

He can't hit a deep pass, and he doesn't throw well to the sticks and sidelines. His preference is short and over the middle. Great for the RAC yards of Deebo and Kittle, but the D can squat/bunch up the middle making it harder to run, and the corners can play man knowing Jimmy won't throw deep to the sides. Someone has posted throw patterns for JG and the stats all confirm this. Jimmy will continue to lose games while the good defenses force him to overcome his weakness. Kyle and John know this and it's why they drafted Lance who allowed us more WR sets and an unaccounted QB who can run at any time for quick yards. Jimmy is a statue that requires extra protection(extra TE) less WR sets and lately he's been holding the ball way too long.

Sneaky blaming Kyle when each and every week Kyle is scheming points up on the board that Jimmy and the rest of the offense aren't executing. It by no means is all Jimmy, but Kyle is scheming touchdowns open (exhibit A: touchdown to Aiyuk, messed up by the tight end getting owned in pass protection).

If "Jimmy and the rest of the offense aren't executing" doesn't that mean there is something wrong with the system and the coaching? If it is one or two players not executing that is different. But we all know it is more then one or two. IE pass protection and run blocking aren't optimal are they?

No because it's mostly the players. I'm not going to blame a coach for players not focusing. This is the NFL, not college. If we wanted a raw raw coach we should have kept Singletary.

Could be he felt a different kind of pressure, if you catch my drift, and that made him play better.

I don't understand the point of this comment. Do you want people to talk smack when the guy played good? That wouldn't do much for their credibility. JG provides more than enough poor play, so why look down on his good performances? Today he played well. It was a nice change.
