Yeah, Jimmy's issue is consistency anyone claiming they don't want to hear any "jimmy slander" or actual criticism, well he's gotta play better consistently. period.

Good win vs a bad team. Hopefully they can take that momentum and beat AZ.

When Jimmy is on his A game, he is difficult to stop. When Jimmy is on his A game, he most definitely gives us the best chance to win games. No doubt in my mind about it. When he is not and he is missing reads and throwing with poor accuracy or the ball is coming out late, he is no better than having Trey in there.

So as long as Jimmy is bringing his A game, I will continue to root for him. If he looks like he did against the Colts again, I will be in the "start Trey Lance crowd again". We cannot afford poor execution by any players for the rest of this season or else we will find ourselves missing the playoffs and at that point, might as well start Trey.

Oh hush up...I've stated consistency as an issue longer than you've been posting in here. That's literally his issue in a nutshell. Whether it's mechanics, field vision, accuracy, missing reads, not being able to be on the field...that ALL leads to not being consistent as a QB.

Must've missed it. I apologize I don't believe in any stat that starts with the word "intended". Lol a stat based off of intentions not really what happened. Speaking of, Jimmy is tied at first with the rest of the sports world with IW, aka intended wins. Great great QB since we're making up fairy tale "intention" stats.

That's because you haven't been here long enough or you haven't been paying close attention.



Consistency has been the problem we've discussed for YEARS. What you've seen us discussing is the reasons WHY — as far as we can tell — that he is inconsistent. Notably: mechanics and field vision. His mechanics slip frequently, but those are also why he is capable of throwing off platform so well in the 5-10 yard window. His field vision is consistently mediocre, but due to confluence of random events, sometimes that results in inexplicable picks — but not always, because sometimes his release speed makes him right when his eyes are wrong.

in other words, the discussions and criticisms about Jimmy the last year or so are about WHY he is inconsistent, not a moving of the goal post.

Yeah you did…it's Average Intended Air Yards, which is basically depth of target. Jimmy yesterday in a win had 9.3 IAY which is by far his best number this yr and one of his highest since being in SF.

Face it folks the real stars frr the Niners yesterday were the O line. The same O line that some people like to call trash. Jimmy had all day long to throw and still threw high a few times. He wasn't touched all day. He was able to take his time, set his feet and complete a rare 50 yard pass to Deebo. The holes for the RBs and for Jimmy on those 2 TDs were huge. I don't know if the Bears D is that bad or the line really stepped up.

Overall Jimmy had a solid game. He avoided turnovers and made one really great throw. Without the behind the line screen pass that Deebo took 83 yards, Jimmy's numbers look like they usually do. 239 yards and no TD passes. Those 2 runs were through holes big enough for a lineman to run through. That's hardly enough to change people's minds.
