Then 2021:

It just looks very different. And the reason I link both years is to show that Jimmy can do it, but it's now missing from the offense.

Hmmm

At this point hes worth more to us than anyone else. Lance isnt ready, or we'd have moved on already. If Lance isnt ready, Shanahan isn't throwing him out there. Garoppolo is the perfect fit for the current iteration of this team. We can win now and develop Lance correctly. Who cares about the 3rd rounder someone gives us for Jimmy if Lance gets ruined by starting too early?

You really serious? Thinking we can win the Super Bowl? Look 2011 2019 I felt we were unstoppable as a Niner fan. This season at best we're going to be a wildcard team. And not only that there's probably 10 teams that would beat us nine out of 10 times. I'm not trying to be sarcastic I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer I'm trying to be realistic. I used to be that guy that my mindset would live or die with whether the Niners won or lost. After 2011 and 2019 I've learned not to do that I stay even keel. I know what Jimmy is and I know what he's not. He's not a world beater and for our team to win the Super Bowl that's what he hast to be . And the most will get out of Jimmy is three or four games like yesterday

Once in a blue moon he'd be targeted deep on a deep post but Kyle's not drawing that up on a regular basis because that's not Goodwin's skill set.

Kyle's had 5 years to get ONE deep threat and has punted every single time for LOS separators and YAC monsters. Trey's in the house and he still didn't do it.

Are you sure that's what he wants or is that what he inherited and decided to use as an OC?

Hmmm wonder why? Who's been our QB for the majority of Kyle's time here? Jimmy was traded for halfway thru Kyle's 1st yr here.

I'll bet money when Lance takes over they add a deep threat, even though Deebo/Aiyuk can most certainly catch deep balls.

I like deep balls

LOL. Bless you.

Another thing. Hopefully you'll at least reply to this one. Do you really think we're winning the Super Bowl? I think there's 10 teams that would beat us nine out of 10 times. And I don't think Jimmy is a world beater and he won't give us and he's never given us consistent performances like that all season. Bottom line is no matter what any of us is Trey Lance is the starter next year. Jimmy won't even be here next year we can all agree to that. So with that being said are we burning next season because we're probably not winning the Super Bowl this season? Because treys biggest weakness is game experience. So if he doesn't get any game experience this season he's basically going to be a rookie next season. So again are we burning next season for this season?

I really doubt anyone here seriously is thinking about a Superbowl. After the Rams just got better today with Von......We are just sitting on our thumbs.

Yeah, a lot of fans would rather go to the wild card and go one and done. It is mostly pride.

Firstly because Kyle needs to string together some winning seasons, because his head coaching record is a joke.

Secondly, because Niner fans don't want to look bad by giving Miami a good draft pick next year. Although personally, I don't give a f**k about this. I'd rather see Trey develop.

Regardless though, most people who want Trey's development to be postponed to 2022 will be back on these forums b***hing about how terrible hes been playing when he is named the starter. People have made their bed and have their allegiances to certain players, instead of the team. It's kind of sad.

Garoppolo was the only one having Goodwin feast (when health) so there goes that take.

I'll hold you to that bet!

Because I've been pinning for that too since Kyle got rid of Goodwin.

100%. Jimmy gives this team a chance this year, and just have to hope he plays at least as well as he played yesterday in going forward this season.

This team, with the talent it has and the talent that's returning as soon as hopefully this Sunday (Kittle, J. Wilson, Ford, Al-Shaair, maybe Greenlaw), can definitely do damage in the games ahead on the schedule & can get into the playoffs. And just get in, because once you're in anything can happen (team gets on a roll & plays its best ball, other teams might be slumping/incur key injuries, etc., etc.). I've seen it happen to teams that "just got in" in the past as Wild Cards, lower seeds, whatever.

Just get in. Yesterday was a start to build on and get better. At 3-4, no way in hell I'm giving up hopes for this team the remainder of this season.

Another reason I thought Kyle might be close to moving to Trey is, Kyle has kept Travis Benjamin on the 53 man roster. He's been inactive since Jimmy got back I believe, but they still keep him on the team. I don't think they are worried that someone would snatch him off the PS.... so if it's Jimmy going forward, they will release him this week for spots needed for the IR folks coming back. But if he is STILL on the roster, then something might be up.

You would think they would use him with Jimmy, as if he were Goodwin. (I know, not the same speed...but he's still fast)

He was forced fed the ball because their was no one else. Godwin was our XWR because their was no one else.
