trey needs 10 starts to be evaluated? That's a joke right? Every analyst has evaluated him just fine on his preseason work.

it was one of deebo's two or three drops

Yeah that's why I want to see it.

Because I'm sorry I don't trust you guys to make a fair judgment if it was a bad pass or not considering the level of brown nosing that goes on in here. If it was on Deebo I have no problem admitting my mistake.

If you are talking about the one that went through his hands, I also believe that pass was errant. While it absolutely could/should have been caught, I find tend to give the WR the benefit of the doubt if the pass is poor (regardless of QB).

Why would you give any of our receivers the benefit of the doubt when collectively, they lead the league in drops? Esp. when you're constantly watching the opposition make incredible acrobatic catches for their QB?

Also… where are you seeing us lead the league in drops? You have a website that says this?

All I'm seeing is this:

Garoppolo was the only one having Goodwin feast (when health) so there goes that take.

I'll hold you to that bet!

Because I've been pinning for that too since Kyle got rid of Goodwin.

He was forced fed the ball because their was no one else. Godwin was our XWR because their was no one else.

Force fed. And he did so well he got a contract extension from Kyle. If you haven't noticed, Kyle loves to feature guys, one at a time per year. This year it's Deebo. It's what he does.

Like Garoppolo and others have confirmed, he's just executing the play calls and Kyle continues to confirm he's doing what's asked of him.

Kyle is and has always been the QB here, like it or not. Wait until Trey starts. You'll see it.

until Jimmy decides to run it in himself

Haha. Jimmy threw a dime to Aiyuk. It gets broken up. Next play, JG calls his own # and says, "f**k these drops!"

This is how Kyle always talks to his QBs though. He's notoriously very hard on his players. I'm sure Kyle has said a lot worse to Jimmy and our other QBs behind closed doors.

100% on Jimmy. A perfect pass but there are multiple thousands millions even trillions of articles that show that a high or behind pass is all Jimmy's fault even though it was a perfect pass.

We'll need to see a video to accurately judge it. The still image doesn't show the velocity of the throw and as we've learned from the comments on every Trey throw that was dropped, if the QB doesn't do a soft underhand toss then it's their fault if the ball is dropped. Maybe Jimmy "babykap" Garoppolo needs to learn how to throw with touch?

screen shots are the worst.

Whoa. The part about Lance warming up.

Lol Grant Cohn

It's crazy how many posters here use Cohn as their "source" for material while refusing to admit it.

Come on NY, if Trey throws that you and most others on this forum are putting the blame 100% on Deebo.
In reality, it's extremely difficult kit to catch slants and crossing routes thrown behind you.

Cohn isn't the source though. He's just reporting something that is easily verifiable by talking to people who were at the game.

He should've just nailed brunskill and mack in the back to satisfy niner talk.

It hit Deebo in the hands, no excuses.

So 7th.

9 drops? We had 4 that game alone. LOL

Heard it on the broadcast so if it's incorrect, my apologies. That said, this team annually has issues with drops. That's no hidden secret. It's obviously still continuing.

If what they're saying is true then it basically means that going forward, Jimmy is literally 1 INT away from being benched.

In your dreams, yes. In reality, nope. INTs will come every QB throws them. Brady had his share last Sunday. When you have a franchise QB you don't bench him.

I don't doubt a source told Grant that. What I doubt is if that source was being 100% truthful. Cohn has been called out by players while they were playing for being flat wrong about things he had, "sources" on. Every one and their grandma knows Grant doesn't like Garoppolo and feeds that narrative more than anyone. So, his sources are going to feed him negative things like this whenever he asks about Jimmy so they will continue to be a source and feed Grant whatever might interest them in the future. There's a reason Grant isn't considered an insider like Maiocco or Barrows.

I'm just posting the clip, someone asked for it. Screen shots are a waste of time.

While the first part may be true, it's irrelevant. The pass was not "perfect" as one poster said, sarcastically. It wasn't a horrible pass either. The pass should have been caught. And, even though the pass hit Deebo in the "triangle," he can't be blamed 100% either. There is more than enough blame to go around on this particular play. Some on JG--most on DS.
