Like I said Jonny it's okay to say it was high and behind. It's also okay to say Deebo should have caught it. BOTH things can be true.

I'm not arguing that at all.

What I don't understand is why we're even bringing this play up -
It was a play on a drive where the kicker missed a FG on a day when we scored 33 points and our QB threw for over 320 yards. I don't get it. Why? Ok, a little on Jimmy a little on Deebo, these things happen with every qb, every receiver all the time. What's to be made?

I get talking about the mis-throws on 3rd down in the Colts game - that makes sense to me. I get talking about the big play to Deebo before the half - that makes sense to me. This just doesn't - I'm not mad at all, it's more - y'all always say I ONLY talk about Jimmy's good plays and that shows I'm biased, yet in this game with all the good, it feels like you and others(waterbear excluded because I think he just genuinely wants to see all the plays) just like to show any play that people can, "Oh jeez, this is why Jimmy shouldn't be starting".

You guys can't call me biased and then do this stuff yourselves - that's not me being pissed, that's me calling you out for doing the kind of stuff I get accused of.

This. I just again re-watched the T.V. replay where they show a close up on Deebo going for the ball (11:13 mark, 1st Qtr.)...the pass was neither high or behind him. It was right on him and Deebo just flat out dropped it. Could it have been a little bit more out in front of him as he was running? Yes, if you're going to nitpick.

You can feel s**t. My gut was telling me that. Again there's a reason Kyle has kept Travis Benjamin on the 53 roster... but has made him inactive since Jimmy got back.

We'll see if Travis is still on the team later this week, with some IR players coming back. I do wonder if the 9ers worry Travis might get snatched up by the Raiders, after Ruggs made the worse mistake of his life last night.

Edit- no Jimmy is not an INT away from being bench... or two INTs.... imo, it's based on how the game is going. Jimmy has bought himself alittle more leeway... but if we struggle to get points in the first half again...and Jimmy has turnovers... then yeah Trey might come in for that game. Not just for some package.

This is just haterism plain and simple. We had 10 mins of possession in the first half to the Bears 20. Let that sink in when you talk about us struggling to score points in the first half. We didn't turn the ball over once. We didn't punt once. In the entire game. You would be more accurate to say we would make changes defensively to get a Bears O without their starting RB, without their "QB1", going with the rookie, and we can't get them off the field. Yet you focus in on taking out JG, the guy who got the gameball? Tall, frosty glass of straight up haterade. Yeah Trey is coming in... next season. No more Trey package. JG can run that package himself anyway.

Someone inquired about it. That's all. The discussion branched off the initial inquiry. There's nothing nefarious about it, nor is there some ulterior motive / passive aggressive underpinning--just a discussion...on a forum.

The reason he's not ready is because he hasn't had the reps running the whole offense. But that is neither here nor there. Here's what we know: If Jimmy plays like he's played in some of these first halves, where the offense is stagnating, then he is no better than an unready Trey. If, on the other hand, he leads the offense to an efficient result, it is best to keep Trey learning, as he isn't really needed.

But this rests on JIMMY, not Trey. I Jimmy plays like scrub — as he has early in a couple of these games — then the Trey era should begin. If, on the other hand, Jimmy plays well, then he should stay the starter for now.

I saw a leader in the first half. Receivers were dropping the ball early left and right. JG gathered the team on the sideline and pumped everyone up. The broadcast team even mentioned this and said how impressed they are with JG. He then drops the bomb on the Bears and finished the first half with 163 yards. He balled out in the first half by any metric. Remember we had zero punts in this game and zero turnovers. Frustrating to see our own fans call him a scrub. It's like what more do you need to see man? Let's keep this momentum going. I do expect punts and turnovers going forward because those things happen you can't be perfect every game but all that matters is the W let's get it we have a real opportunity this week.

I didn't say a PARTICULAR first half. He looked like a real scrub against Green Bay early on, for example.

1. explain why I should show it in how it has to answer why and how we won.
2. You can always buy gamepass yourself.
3. I'm sure there's guys on Twitter who will cover it.

4. Why bring me up at all?

Did they ever fix the bs where the All 22 film wasn't available?

If anyone besides you (and the usual others), called me out for haterism.... I would respond in serious way.

But nope, sorry 49erFaithful6..you burned that bridge awhile back.

You let me know when you want me to take you serious. I'll wait a full two weeks of serious posting from you, then maybe I'll come around.

Its possible that a ball should have been caught in spite of it being a poor pass. The two are not mutually exclusive.

i appreciate your neutral but fair objective stance

There's no question that Deebo should have caught it. But just because a ball should have been caught doesn't necessarily mean it was a good throw. I'd love to see the video of this play again. In real time it looked very behind.

yep

Whoa. The part about Lance warming up.

I was trying to find something, anything to substantiate this claim, and I found this random person's Tweet on Twitter. They claimed to be at the game, and this was tweeted during the game.

i definitely believe there is some merit to be said that Jimmy is not necessarily on a short leash, but the margin for error with him at this point is pretty small.

It's inconsistent to note who the Bears were missing on offense, in order to strengthen the argument the 49ers' defense played poorly, while simultaneously ignoring who the Bears were missing on defense, in order to strengthen the argument the 49ers' offense (JG included) played well.

4. You're right. I shouldn't have brought you up.

1. And again… you can make whatever you want.

2-3. Maybe I will. I'd like to see videos of every pass in each game. I might have to make a new channel.

Ohhhh. Please do!! We all need some extra comedy in our lives.

Is this not harassment?

no

Garoppolo was the only one having Goodwin feast (when health) so there goes that take.

I'll hold you to that bet!

Because I've been pinning for that too since Kyle got rid of Goodwin.

He was forced fed the ball because their was no one else. Godwin was our XWR because their was no one else.

Force fed. And he did so well he got a contract extension from Kyle. If you haven't noticed, Kyle loves to feature guys, one at a time per year. This year it's Deebo. It's what he does.

Like Garoppolo and others have confirmed, he's just executing the play calls and Kyle continues to confirm he's doing what's asked of him.

Kyle is and has always been the QB here, like it or not. Wait until Trey starts. You'll see it.

until Jimmy decides to run it in himself

Haha. Jimmy threw a dime to Aiyuk. It gets broken up. Next play, JG calls his own # and says, "f**k these drops!"
