It wasn't a good throw. That's like saying the sky is pink and purple polka-dot. This incredible self-deception is 95% of the motivation for people criticizing your Lord and Savior, Jimmy Jesus. If people evaluated him accurately, no one here would care.
I foresee JG unloading a bomb like he did to Deebo before the half but this time on the receiving end will be... THE DeSean Jackson. And no DJax won't get caught. He sails into the endzone.

11/15/21 MNF put it on the calendar.

It was high and behind on a slant…you don't throw the ball behind someone who's running the opposite way. Totally catchable but again not a accurate ball.

Different view shows it

already looked at this view. and another view. and another. and 15+ pages of discussions about it. and film breakdown from fans about it.

accurate enough, lol.

Accurate enough to be caught, sure. But that ball placement is what separates the really good QBs from the mediocre ones.

most of you in here think he's mediocre anyways so by his standards it's a well-thrown ball, no? bad drop.

Jimmy's made much better throws before. Mediocre means roughly average. That's kind of what he is. Average among the starters. Somewhere in the 14-22 range of QBs. And Deebo is making too much money to not catch that.

Good thing Stafford is 5th in the NFL in IAY/PA (Jimmy is 28th... but that is an improvement over the last few years, so he's taking a bigger role in the offense this season).

IAY

Right on cue.

You'll note the bold was brought up by someone OTHER than me... Presumably you can connect the dots.

Oh, no, i wasn't calling out you...just laughing at the irony of the topic coming up 'just' after i was posting...about the irony of the topic. Haha.

Ah, this must be in reference to the guy who said that you're the one constantly bringing it up, and then by magic the posts on the topic follow you. Perhaps you are cursed by the Ghost of Air Yards Passed.

Haha. We're all cursed now.

Guys, can we stop hating on each other and get back to IAY, nitpicking 1 of the 28 passes, olive oil and the semantics around properly expressing fan enthusiasm after a win?

Perfect.

Deebo had olive oil on his gloves to start the game. Fortunately, he properly expressed his unhappiness with it, turned it around and helped contribute to Garoppolo's higher IAY.

Lol dude,... you bring up IAY once a day in this thread like popping a vitamin,...but it's everyone else going crazy over IAY and how important it is?

All we need now is 1 person to bite, then a 10 page back and forth about it, the you asking why people wanna talk about IAY as if you're over the topic.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Odd that you don't get the irony.

Lol like wise,...as I'm just keeping the score. Forcing discussion about it weekly is your theme.

right but the consensus with Jimmy overall as a quarterback is mediocre, therefore, by that logic it was a good throw by his standards

Let's make sure to storm Lombardi's tweet and tell him what a terrible throw this is and that he's wrong for saying it was s good play. NY even quoted it asking for this sort of consistency.

That thing was about to get stuck in his facemask

Of course he won't note that.

This will be a tough game. Arizona's D is legit. We only managed 10 points in our last meeting, and that was with a pitch to our WR. If Kyler is out we may get all conservative with our game plan. I see a tight, low scoring affair. Taking care of the football will be paramount. Hope we stay aggressive. I don't think JG to Deebo can be stopped unless they double and if Kittle is back I don't think they can cover him 1-on-1. Let JG cook and I think we can win this one going away.

kittle back will be huge. also don't sleep on Aiyuk. really hoping he continues to play well. but kittle returning should open up a lot of other opportunities

No JJ Watt to blow up plays and a healthy Mitchell means another big day running the ball. Mitchell is going to be in the RotY convo after this week.

Good point. If we can gash them with the run early that could set up the ol' fake the toss wide and take a shot downfield.

Dude if you don't care about the slant stop commenting about it....should have been caught should have been thrown in front of him so he can continue to run and get YAC. It's consistency that matters on those type of throws.
