I think the issue some have is that it's an insignificant play on a day that was overwhelmingly good by JG and it feels like people are nitpicking because...well...it's Jimmy.
I get criticizing Jimmy after the Colts game. If he put another couple games up like that I was gonna be firmly on the, "start trey" wagon. But I bend towards positive views on our guys until they give me ample evidence to not be positive anymore. Like, I'm not gonna hope McG gets better at pass pro, at this point.
When our qb has a good game, we want to celebrate that and look positively for the future and 2 days of harping on a play like this is just kind of ridiculous.

Why not 55 pages of the bomb at the end of the half? Or the JG busted play TD? Or the JG non-busted play TD? Or JG rallying the troops on the sideline which drew the praise of the broadcast crew? We win. FEELS GREAT BABY. JG gets the gameball. Instead of being happy, looking forward to next week, no we have to frame by frame this stupid play 1000 times as some gotcha point that JG screwed up or didn't throw it 100% perfect. It's nit picking on a grand scale it is beyond comical at this point.
I look forward to a showdown this weekend with a 7-1 team. Perhaps JG will throw 3 touchdowns, we get another win and I'll find out next week from the JG thread that if you zoom in and frame-by-frame the wobble from the 2nd TD pass is a little more than usual.
Oh, you really are new to the webzone. I thought you were perhaps a previously banned member that came back under a different screen name. This is what we do. Glad to have you here.
LOL I'm not new here I created this account over 10 years ago. I was posting a lot back in the day and stopped for a handful of years. I'm beginning to remember why I stopped lol.

Sure sounds like hater talk to me. This makes you and I in the Deebo Hater club. We need to start recruiting.
Any type of criticism towards one of our players on here and you get labelled an hater, especially when the criticism Is aimed against the current QB

Because everyone is mature enough to agree on those things, regardless of what their personal opinions on Jimmy are.

I don't remember how this started, but I jumped on the band wagon because some Jimmy homer said the pass was a good pass. It clearly wasn't, and that triggered me to the point that I wasted my life arguing the fact of reality to people who are incapable of seeing Jimmy objectively. I'm sure it's the same story for several others.
Regardless, from late in the second half on, Jimmy played excellently.

No. Its because people who homer out for Jimmy are incapable of accepting even the slightest criticism. Even on that play, every single person in this thread has said Deebo should have caught it. There shouldnt be a debate at all. But some people have to defend him no matter what, which leads to 20 pages of debate.
Jimmy played very well. Everyone agrees.

Not sure If serious.🤔
i'm totally f'ing serious.
Look at ANY/A leaders and who has won the MVP award, going back to the early 80's.
If the MVP is a QB, almost every time he's the clear outlier in ANY/A.
Jimmy Garroppolo is better than haters want to admit, and Rodgers HAS NOT BEEN THAT GOOD this year.
I'm not saying that Jimmy is better, I'm saying that right now, for this season, their performance has been very similarly effective.
I also included Kirk Cousins in this tier. Facts are facts.
lol. you need to look up the definition of facts

ty lol. offense had no turnovers, gave up no sacks, and didn't punt once; guess this was inevitable so there'd be something to talk and be critical of

I'm not even quite sure he knows what the word outlier is either.

And while Jimmy has 3 TDs rushing, Rodgers has 2. And while Trey has scored two touchdowns on plays relieving Jimmy, that still wouldn't be enough to turn that needle.
Rodgers is playing just shy of MVP level, right under the tier of Stafford and Brady this season.
I mean, come on. Lesson: no stat is the end all be all.
However, what that DOES tell us is that Jimmy is being more careful with the football this year. His 2.3 INT% would be a career low. That's definitely a good sign going forward, if it remains.
ANY/A adjusts for touchdowns thrown. Agree to disagree, on two fronts:
1. not completely dismissing your point, but if there is ONE METRIC, it's ANY/A.
2. Rodgers is most definitely not playing at an MVP level, at least statistically!
It's easy to say "they're 7-1 and it's all on him". If they DO finish 15-2, I'd bet you anything by that point he'd be top 3 in ANY/A.
Brady is not playing as well as Stafford and it's really not that close. he's solidly in tier #2.

Actually I earn a pretty solid living doing analytics consulting. So yeah, I do, smart guy (not sure your giant helmet is helping much).
This is an outlier. Yeah, i'm pretty sure that's more than two standard deviations from the mean.
ANY/A distribution

A dropped slant pass at the beginning of the game that had no bearing on the outcome....aren't you paying attention!
