There is an argument for the Patriots keeping Garoppolo; Brady is 40 and may start looking like it when he starts to play in cold. They would have had to let JG walk at end of year or pay him like a starter. I have a world of respect for Belichick but no one is correct 100% of time; not in NFL. I think he made a mistake.

This is a best case scenario for us. I much prefer a 25 y/o JG to a 30 y/o Kirk Cousins or a draft pick who may or may not work out no matter how highly picked. I believe Only 1 QB has ever won a SB with the team that picked them as first player off board; Payton Manning. Trade high pick for boatload of picks.

This move so good.

We got a QB that learned behind a GOAT for 3 years, which is always something I've wanted. Now we can focus on surrounding him with talent in FA and the top half of the draft. That 0-8 doesn't feel so bad anymore, which I'm sure is in part why Lynch made this move now (for the fans). But I'm cool with that too.
