"At the end of the day, I'm a Winner"

Is he talking football or his personal life?

I can't believe he actually said that. It says a lot about his character.

It's a bit of an odd thing to say when the team is 3-4 and you're 1-3 in your last 4 starts. Hopefully he lives up to that statement the rest of the season.
it doesn't matter, He's a winner remember

this comment by jimmy is the straw for me

Maybe what he really means are as follows...

"I'm a winner on this losing team."
"I'm a winner, and this organization will be the loser."
"I'm a winner, Kyle Shanahan is a loser."
"I'm a winner, because I held Tom Brady's jock strap."
"I'm a winner, check Pornhub."
"I'm a winner, ask your wife."

This is good

Or maybe he meant im a winner, because i brought this team to the superbowl one year after an acl.
Putting myself in his shoes, you go to the SB one year, get hurt the next, and then draft day 2021 happens. The team is mortgaging the future to draft your replacement. All he asked for was a chance to compete. He got his chance and won the starting job. That's all he's done from day one. Win. 27-11 as QB1. Not Pat Mahomes, doesn't matter. No Aaron Rodgers, who cares. He's gone from Eastern Illinois to the Super Bowl. From D2 to 5 years $137.5 million. He's got no idea where he'll be a year from now. In the end, I suspect wherever he is, he'll be winning.

And at the end of the season he'll be an ex-49er.

If Trey isn't ready to start learning (play and take his lumps) by the start of 2022 then they should both be ex-49ers.

Not a chance imo, why would they keep him on an expiring deal? What #3 overall pick QB sits for 2 straight seasons? JG will be traded. The NFL has no shortage of teams desperate for a QB. Any team acquiring him would likely rework his deal to be long term. With his record as starter he will command a pick. It behooves us for him to ball out so we get as good a pick as possible.

lol
Some of you guys are really insecure. A guy says he believes in himself, but since he's not one of your favorites he gets ripped for that. But if he was one of your favorites he would be applauded for saying that. In fact he IS winner, check his record, check his status among his teammates. Winner. Weather he's the best fit at QB for the Niners is another question and there is plenty written in that regard.

It means that he knows he is a winner and he is going to prove it. A fierce competitive Jimmy is a winner. Hopefully he can maintain that attitude the rest of the season and hopefully into the playoffs.

Agreed. What pick he commands will depend on how he finishes off 2021. If he flops then he'll be outright cut.

Having a QB on a rookie deal and building a contender around him is a good blueprint that has been working around the league. If Trey isn't ready to play and learn in 2022 then there is a serious problem.
