GB had a HOFer at QB. We don't. Not even close. We don't even have an Alex smith at QB.

he didn't need to say i'm a winner at all, not even the great QBs say narcissistic comments while actively playing

has your enthusiasm for our QB1 cooled during your absence?
ethusiasm is a bit much. I was excited sitting on the fence. but having a better OL and seeing happy feet brought back old feelings i had when watching Alex Smith

And at the end of the season he'll be an ex-49er.

If trey not ready, he stay.

If Trey isn't ready to start learning (play and take his lumps) by the start of 2022 then they should both be ex-49ers.

Joe didnt start til year 1.5 according to bill walsh. But what does he know.

Lance isn't Joe.

Jimmy > 49ers Alex

By a substantial margin.

And Rodgers didn't start until year 4.

I just said that

The original post said what #3 overall pick sits 2 straight seasons. Rodgers wasn't close to top three with where he was selected. He was closer to falling out of round 1 entirely than he was to top 3. He was making way less than Alex. Back then rookie contracts were absurd and were based on slot. Alex started some year 1 and all of year 2. Rodgers made much less in compensation and they could afford to bring him along slower. With Lance, we gave up so much I don't see any scenario where he sits next year. Ready or not he will see the field.
Regardless of when he starts we need Trey to be a winner.
I find nothing wrong with what Jimmy said. I want an arrogant QB. All the greats are arrogant in some way or another.

Force fed. And he did so well he got a contract extension from Kyle. If you haven't noticed, Kyle loves to feature guys, one at a time per year. This year it's Deebo. It's what he does.

Like Garoppolo and others have confirmed, he's just executing the play calls and Kyle continues to confirm he's doing what's asked of him.

Kyle is and has always been the QB here, like it or not. Wait until Trey starts. You'll see it.

What does that have to do with anything I said? lol Who were the other WRs? Victor Boldin? Louis Murphy? 6th rd pick Trent Taylor? rookie UDFA Borune? lol wat?

The X in most of Kyle's schemes is the primary target hog. AJ in Texas, Garcon in DC, Julio in ATL. Even in the 5 games he had Gordon in Cleveland he had like 50 targets. Deebo getting force fed isn't all on Kyle, it's trust with his QB (and he's not the X). It's taking advantage of matchups and getting the ball in the hands of the guy you think will make a play.

Godwin was forced to be that because they literally had no one else. I wouldn't call a 3 yr $20M deal with only $8M GTD a massive extension either lol.

Again you're out your damn mind if you think Kyle wouldn't use the whole field if he had Allen/Mahomes/Watson as his starting QB. Matt Ryan and his IAY in 2016 prove that they actually did. Good HC's play to their players strengths and that's what is happening here.

Funny how the area of the field you b***h about weekly was exploited with Jimmy and Goodwin and since Goodwin has been gone, it hasn't. Maybe this is more of a scheme, philosophy and personnel choice by Kyle (not Jimmy).

+10 yards to the deeper outside with guys like Aiyuk and Deebo who don't create space like Goodwin did is a lower % throw that can lead to pick 6's.

Go rewatch the videos of Goodwin here. His speed was very much respected here and it helped create a lot of space on sideline routes.

You want what I want. But Kyle hasn't brought that guy in here and Goodwin was inherited.

..

When you look at his entire career as a Niner, I agree. But the Alex Smith we had under Harbaugh was better than Jimmy. I'd consider them equal as passers, but Alex was by far the better runner and was available for more games than Jimmy.

Wholeheartedly disagree, but thats ok. Its all opinion....except for the last part. That last part isnt a fair point at all. You cant argue that Alex was better the 1+ year with Harbaugh and then use Jimmy's availability over the duration of his time here as a reason for that. If you want to pick out the one season where Alex wasnt terrible for us, then you have to compare it to Jimmy's 2019. And IMO, Jimmy's 2019 is substantially better than Alex's 2011.

brodieblue tells me I'm a bad student of history then goes on to compare the GB situation with Favre/Rodgers to this current SF situation. Comedy.
