Actually Rodgers sat for 3 years. He started every game in year 4 but I get your point. Alex just didn't have as much talent around him as Jimmy. When he finally got some decent players and a good coach the team started winning. Seriously, do you really think Jimmy would have played well under Singletary and some of the other guys that Alex had. Different schemes every year. Alex had talent but like other talented QBs it was wasted for much of his career.

That's not what it means and no he didn't. Deebo had the best game (171 yards is quite eye popping). Getting the game ball could mean ANY combination of these or things like it: he was in some form or another inspirational and/or deserving of some special recognition due to certain events (such as playing in his home town or recently being subject to lots of criticism), OR he was the best performer on the field, OR he set some special record, and so on.

I know you know this, but somehow you paint this narrative. THIS is why this thread spends 30 pages arguing about a slant route. Because you surely know the truth, but choose to paint a particular narrative. (not YOU personally, but in general the people who do this).
