I don't think anyone's triggered by it. I just thought it was an odd thing to say considering our record. I do honestly think he's handled this whole situation really well and I hope things work out for him on his next team.

Clearly, you're not a winner. If you were you would know that confidence in yourself, even when others have none, is the most important thing that you have going forward. To disparage someone who exclaims their confidence because it's upsetting to you shows more about you than anybody else.

I've noted more and more of that over the years. Throwing other players under the bus. In spite of what he thinks, he's not Brady. He doesn't have the credentials to do that. He needs great players around him to make him look good and he makes perfectly competent players look bad. Another way of saying that he doesn't elevate the play of those around him.
The team has a chance to grow and do better without him.
Of course, its not all on Garoppolo, the whole leadership has to take a step up; I'm not confident that's going to happen. Not as long as Jeddy-boy is running the show.

That's not what it means and no he didn't. Deebo had the best game (171 yards is quite eye popping). Getting the game ball could mean ANY combination of these or things like it: he was in some form or another inspirational and/or deserving of some special recognition due to certain events (such as playing in his home town or recently being subject to lots of criticism), OR he was the best performer on the field, OR he set some special record, and so on.

I know you know this, but somehow you paint this narrative. THIS is why this thread spends 30 pages arguing about a slant route. Because you surely know the truth, but choose to paint a particular narrative. (not YOU personally, but in general the people who do this).
