Lance needs reps whether that means success or taking lumps on the field. I was all about sitting him if we were a playoff team but we aren't. His time should be now.

No one's going to tune in so our offesnse can get even sh^ttier. So there's that.

Definitely not his fault. Problem is we need plays and a playmaker at QB to cover up this team's shortcomings. Think Steve Young in 1999. Team looked like a wildcard team with him. Without, we were picking top 3
. This was a good game for Jimmy. But he can't elevate the team. He's like a better version of Alex Smith. He'll be able to start on maybe half the teams. He just won't start long once they draft a young guy.

hell maybe that is why Kyle didn't try a 2pt Conversion, when we could have made it a 2 score game. He doesn't trust Jimmy... or Kyle doesn't trust himself to call a good play that works for Jimmy... or just a good play in general.

i mean it became a 2 score game anyway after the FG so who cares. but yeah that punt, like, we needed ANY number of points on that drive...

All of Jimmy's limitations make it easy to gameplan against. And Kyle is lost and has no answers. This to me has been setting the tone for why we are a bad/lost 3-5 team

we need to have surprise counters in the spread and kyle had no ideas.

Give him one more start against the Rams. But lets just be honest with ourselves. Hes gonna get blown out.

Then Lance will have a soft landing spot against the Jaguars.

Its not about 2021 anymore. It's about where Lance is in his development. He isn't going to play until hes ready. Shanahan just said in the post game press conference that he has no plans to start Lance yet.

I agree. But they put themselves in this spot. It felt like they moved up and gave up a ton of draft capital with no plan. And that is nothing against Trey Lance . I hope so much that he succeeds. But sooner than later they won't have a choice but to play him

Another injury excuse after the loss. Well, I am sure he doesn't want to go out there to face McVay's Rams next week.
