Its easy to say Jimmy was benched because he stinks. It validates there opinion. If he is benched for injury it makes it harder to screen "HE STINKS!"

Even if I was to ignore every bad play he made after this injury, he still cost us between 10 and 14 points with his poor play. We lost by 3,.

I give the injury the benefit of the doubt. Maybe that throw to Juice would have been made if Jimmy didn't hurt his thumb….it was so open a high school quarterback wouldn't have missed it. Now, if he's really hurt, let's do the right thing by not playing him. I'd rather lose the game with a healthy Lance playing. Let Shanahan back his words up- Lance has been having his best practice for a month now.
I believe the injury happened after that throw
Kyle said it happened in the 2Q.
Fixed
TY! I'm rewatching now.

No.
It wouldn't matter. He never hits Juice on those.
No one hits a wide open Juice.
Jimmy, Mullens, Trey. (Preseason was it?)
Hopefully Trey breaks the curse.

But it gives better context.
1. It wasn't just Jimmy having a down game in an up and down year
2. Kyle probably should of benched him if he knew about it.
So then I guess we blame Shanahan then for keeping his QB out there. After all didn't we blame Nolan for not handling the Alex Smith separated shoulder back in 2007??
This is the kind of crap to why making the playoffs is nothing but a moral victory. You can't have internal problems like this heading into the playoffs, playoff teams have their s**t together!!!

Same thing happened to Harbaugh...dude was attacked on here when he made the QB change in 2012. And even after it was proven to be the right call, he has still been attacked since for that decision.
For the record it was the completely wrong call and killed any chance of getting to the super bowl with top3 defense for the next 2 years. Thats why harbs was fired,
I mean they dont even get to one Superbowl with Alex as the QB.
What? No they had as good a chance with Alex as Kap and waaay better once the zone read and rpo was found out.

How soon they forget. It probably took them awhile to figure out who this is and what position he played.

49ers' QB Jimmy Garoppolo suffered what is thought to be "a more significant injury" than a right thumb sprain, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 27, 2021
The season of QB throwing hand injuries - see Russell Wilson, Taysom Hill - continues.
More significant?

INFERIOR FOE? The Texans? Did you see you're so-called "inferior foe" beat the stuffing out of the Chargers on Sunday? I did. They didn't look inferior at all. They looked good. All game long. That win was no fluke. The Texans dominated that game.
If any of you really believe the Texans are an "inferior foe," you're in for a really big surprise this weekend.
