…..OF COURSE YOU GUYS DO!!!

Even if I was to ignore every bad play he made after this injury, he still cost us between 10 and 14 points with his poor play. We lost by 3,.

Most definitely. No need to make excuses. Adrenaline can get you through a lot for a while. Yes, I can understand that touch pass INT Kyle alluded too being effected by a thumb injury (grip) but then again, maybe they shouldn't have been attempting those.

I'm more curious to know when Kyle knew and when he knew it was affecting play. Because that should have dictated more running and a different type of passing game.

Any injury where the player:

a) stays in the game
b) no one knows he's injured
c) he's not sent to the trainer or seen by broadcast camera on the sideline with a visible injury

these are symptoms of a serious condition known as benchitis
I honestly thought they were going to use some injury to explain the way he played, but if it's to set him on the bench, even better.

Perfect situation for Trey - at home, against an inferior foe.

Yep. Perfect place and opponent to get another shot

INFERIOR FOE? The Texans? Did you see you're so-called "inferior foe" beat the stuffing out of the Chargers on Sunday? I did. They didn't look inferior at all. They looked good. All game long. That win was no fluke. The Texans dominated that game.

If any of you really believe the Texans are an "inferior foe," you're in for a really big surprise this weekend.

Just because a team dominates a game, doesnt mean it cant be a fluke.

And yes, inferior foe. Us fans have every right to believe that, because its true. We just have to hope that our players dont buy into that.

I see. So you blame Jimmy for all those passes that AJ Brown caught. Check!

I give the injury the benefit of the doubt. Maybe that throw to Juice would have been made if Jimmy didn't hurt his thumb….it was so open a high school quarterback wouldn't have missed it. Now, if he's really hurt, let's do the right thing by not playing him. I'd rather lose the game with a healthy Lance playing. Let Shanahan back his words up- Lance has been having his best practice for a month now.

No.

It wouldn't matter. He never hits Juice on those.

No one hits a wide open Juice.

Jimmy, Mullens, Trey. (Preseason was it?)

Hopefully Trey breaks the curse.
It's just who we are

Long standing 49er tradition!

But it gives better context.

1. It wasn't just Jimmy having a down game in an up and down year

2. Kyle probably should of benched him if he knew about it.

So then I guess we blame Shanahan then for keeping his QB out there. After all didn't we blame Nolan for not handling the Alex Smith separated shoulder back in 2007??

This is the kind of crap to why making the playoffs is nothing but a moral victory. You can't have internal problems like this heading into the playoffs, playoff teams have their s**t together!!!

Players play through injury all the time and sometimes it's not apparent how injured they are until after the game and the adrenaline wears off. They took Jimmy out of the Seattle game when Jimmy said he was having difficulty planting due to the calf injury.

internal problems? I wasnt aware the 49ers had any.

Well is pretty much an assumption by us right. After all we didn't see Jimmy anywhere on the injury report, even after the Seattle game and now this one. If its really a thumb injury then Jimmy shouldn't be starting for the rest of his 49er career. Gonna be a miracle if he can start against the Rams am I right!!!
I see an Alex Smith injury transition to Kap happening........

I believe the injury happened after that throw

Catch said it happened in the 2Q?

End of the 2nd, that Juice pass happened at the beginning

The Titans scored 13 total points against our defense aside from when Jimmy threw a pick deep in our own territory. Our defense played well enough to win. Our QB didnt.

He can't catch them if they are not on the field

Haha. That's definitely part of the formula.
