I can't believe I share an opinion with Grant Cohn! This "injury" is the perfect way to move on from Jimmy but keep his value intact, can blame it on his interception in the 3rd and say "oh, he's almost healthy, Trey gives us the best chance to win, Jimmy is good enough to be our emergency backup".

He probably will do, he's a rookie and hasn't had enough experience, Jimmy wouldn't have done any better.

Do you know what though, the experience that Trey gets will make him better, if it comes to playoffs next year then he will be better for it.

I thank Jimmy for his tenure, he's a great guy and was a big part of our 2019 season, I'm happy to have his jersey.

However I know what he is, you just can't win consistently with a QB at his level who also gets banged up as much as he does.

Good QB play is easy to come by, keep searching until you find a great one.

Well Jimmy just lost us a game, if it happens it happens. Would have had a much less chance of it happening had we played him earlier in the season.

That's not hindsight, it had been said all along by many people.

Last I saw Jimmy loss to the Titans might have cost SF the playoffs…

with that said, I didn't want to bench Jimmy or whatever at this point…this was his team this yr, he got all the reps and it's W16. I don't think it does anyone any favors but if he's hurt he's hurt.
