HE LEADS THE LEAGUE IN YARDS PER COMPLETION!!!!! HOLLAZ!!!!

Not even remotely true my friend. Jimmy is top10 in the league (#8 I think) when it comes to "completed air yards per attempt". He has been pushing the ball in the middle range a lot this year.

He is also top10 in YAC, but he's no where near to #1 there. However, because if Kyle's playcalling brilliance and our playmakers' ability with the ball in open space, Jimmy is #1 in YAC per completion, and it's not even that close.

So, you got Jimmy pushing the ball down field a bit (not super deep, but constant midrange passes) and Deebo, Kittle and Aiyuk getting over 6 YAC per reception, and that's why Jimmy is leading the league in YPA.

Stop trying to take away all credit from Jimmy in our passing attack. Yes, he benefits greatly from star-studded players, absolutely, but the truth of the matter is that he's a hell of a QB that makes some tightly contest throws over the middle, but who is also majorly flawed and has a "wtf game" every 3 or 4 games.

We'll said.

The play calling brilliance is the reason jimmy is getting run out of town on a rail.

Practically every throw is "turnover worthy" -- by design. His completions require him to hit a target surrounded by db's in the middle of the field. Agaqin, by design. kyle doesn't want jimmy to hit open players in the wide part of the field. if you think about what shanny is trying to do, you can understand why.

Anyway, what's going to happen this sunday is that Jimmy will put off surgery til after the season. he will be our #2 againt texans, on the off chance Trey can't handle the situation.

Just in case we are down, like 24-3, at half with trey at a qbr of forty something, he'll come in and get a couple scores to keep it close and then start the next week.

This thread is absolutely disgusting and unprofessional in denigrating Jimmy and it reflects on the coach and front office.
lol, Kyle doesn't want Jimmy to throw to open options .. man, this guy ^^ lol

He doesn't. That's not his plan. He practically said so.

Kyle designed the play in which Jimmy was supposed to miss the throw to Juscyck.

Am I doing this right?

No. That's not right.
Lol @ this thread being a reflection of the coaching staff and FO. Talk about obsessions...

Jimmy probably been playing with this condition for a while and aggravated it on the ridiculous throw down that would have drawn a roughing penalty on any other qb in the nfl.

Some people who post here parrot fo decisions and thinking. Been that way for a while. So if a bunch of well conencted posters make insulting unprofessional absurd comments, then one can only infer they reflect the current fo thinking.

The only other explanation is that jimmy is killing baby puppies, assaulting grandmothers, or secretly profiting from world hunger. if any of these are true, then yes by all means insult the s**t out of the guy. Otherwise you are being a*****es.

Nope. you'll have to do that yourself.
so you're telling me Kyle was really upset that Jimmy threw to an open Aiyuk on 4th down.. rather than a missed throw to Aiyuk?

So you're not going to explain to us how you came up with amazing theory that by design, Kyle is calling plays where he purposely does not want Jimmy to make passes to wide open players?

I thought Kyle's thing was about setting defenses up to create absurdly wide open players and get big plays as result.

A jet sweep in football is a play football in which a receiver comes in motion across the formation and receives the ball from the quarterback. ... Though in some instances this play involves a shovel pass from the quarterback. In these situations, the jet sweep is considered a passing play.

It's a jet sweep and as I mentioned prior with a shovel pass. You shouldn't use the word "pitch" or "backfield" to describe this play. As I mentioned above he lines up at receiver and motions in position to receive the pass. Furthermore your examples are from 2020. I don't recall us doing much of this in 2021 and certainly not for 70 yards. The one Deebo 70 yarder I recall again was a screen pass vs the Bears.

Uhhh...his entire point to begin with has to do with what something's referred to (a pass) vs. what it really is (a simple, easy pitch).

A pitch is a pitch,.... I mean you can't change the physical action of it. The definition and what it's defined as was his initial gripe,...lol.

I stand by the remark. It's the net effect of shanny's game idea, how he sets up his primary options, and how he want's his quarterbacks to execute post snap.

If its full of s**t i will accept that from thl and johnny del. But I think it's the net effect of what shanny wants to do. Which has been remarkably effective in generating yards from scrimmage. But, there are consequences. One of them may be that upper echelon qb's don't see us as a destination. Another is that jimmy is actually well suited to deliver on many parts of shanny's game design.

I didn't say that. I said open players who are wide. I believe Kyle sets the check down order.
