Don't worry he's not gonna get it. Imagine thinking passing stats from the 80s are remotely comparable to the modern day. 🤪
Imagine claiming Jimmy was responsible for the Interception thrown by Trey.
Pretty sure Jimmy is capable of turning the ball over from the bench. HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERY TURNOVER SINCE WEEK 13 EXCLUDING THE GAME HE DIDNT PLAY. But I guess that has to be said because delusion and lack of common sense is running rampant here.
Are the mods really letting this trolling happen? It's pretty clear what's happening here.
As long as a football player/coach is being discussed idgaf. But that's just me. Feel free to use the tattle feature so other mods see it.
I've seen people put on timeout just for continousky criticizing certian players or coaches

It would be wrong/incorrect to say that Jimmy is the second highest paid player in the NFL then use his cap hit over APY or guarantee.I feel like posters know we're not saying that but they're just playing coy and pretending that's the argument.

It's moneyball because they quickly tried to pay him before his market went up even more (there was a run on QB pay then) and consequently added annual rip cords and had the cap space to pay $40M up front of that.
All that before ever really seeing how he'd fare once he had to play within Kyle's actual system and not hero, off script ball when he arrived.
I totally get your point as to value and ROI. I'm big on that too esp. at the most expensive positions and with this FO and where they choose to spend their cap space.

This is the comment I replied to:
He's currently the 2nd highest paid player in the playoffs (only behind Rogers) let's keep s**t real here and understand that's stupid. Is what it is now, Kyle and Co wanted to go this route and for the most part it's paid off.

i disagrew with the way NY looks at salary
the reason he is getting paid like he is is because we can cut him with a minimal penalty/caphit at anytime that isnt true of most QBs
What is wrong with looking at a players cap hit during the current season? That's the only thing that should matter because future years can be manipulated to change a cap hit…so what if they can cut him with little DM, his cap hit was still the 5th highest during a Covid strapped cap yr.

I never said he should be cut….you have no idea what Lance would be right now if he got every snap from day 1.

Tell me about it. But I dunno,... If a guy has attacked and beat up on Shanny all season... Don't think he gets to ask that his favorite QB gets a pass or asks to ban others.
Simply give a good counter to ignite some discussion or ignore it.
Right now I'm still figuring out this clutch thing and when it applies and when it doesn't.

Because that can be restructured before the season too
my point Jimmy and 49ers signed a deal where we have aminimal cap hit of cur i mean his guaranteed money before season started was $0. They signed a deal where they gave him more money up front and in exchange the team can move on from him without a penalty.
We were not hurting for space this year next year is different with all the contract extensions,
I mean Rodgers jumps to 47 million next year. Mahomes is only 7 million then jumps to 40+million and they arent cuttable like Jimmy is (not that they would want to just talking from contract perspective)
