that we win

That's a pattern as well. Yes. We have a great team but a black hole @ the QB position, kinda like 2019.

i think Jimmy brings more to the team and does more than you give him credit for. Black holes at the QB dont make it to the NFC championship game 2/2 times in a heathy season

dont get me wrong Trey is our future and the position can be upgraded all im saying is dont sell Jimmy short and be appreciative for what we have. Dont worry so much about being right and have fun

Having a likeable QB on a team instead of a Baker Mayfield or a Minshew,....I've given him plenty of credit for being a likeable guy before.

It contributes, obviously, but I think -- like Kyle has alluded to -- bringing in a bunch of guys that just clearly love football and love playing for each other is the main factor in the team's attitude, not necessarily Jimmy's attitude. IOW, I'm truly giving him credit for "who he isin't" instead of "who he is."

That's great and all, but eventually I have to play the games on my tv screen and watch what happened. The offensive production was horrid last night and we were saved. Hopefully we get lucky next week when it's not zero degrees conditions and play better.
The talking heads and the fans can continue to bash Jimmy. People continue to forget or ignore how injured the guy is.

This team wouldn't even be in the playoffs without Jimmy's final 2 drives against the rams. So no, the team isnt carrying Jimmy. The team is carrying the team.

Throwing risky passes he should never throw in crucial moments, a number of them we luck out on. You think his injuries contribute to his mental decisions?

Well thank god Shanahan didn't trade for Matt Stafford then, 7 INT's in his last four games.

No but Gary being in his face within 2 seconds 80 percent of the time probably did. No one is arguing that he doesnt makes mistakes. It is what is.

People also forget the perfect passes that were dropped, and the constant barage of pass rush he faced all night thanks to HOF Tom Compton.

You expect your Pro Bowl level TE to make this catch but let's look @ this one a little closer:

Notice how the ball hits him as he's running full speed on the trailing shoulder pad. It's not @ least in the middle or towards the front. He reacted to the ball a little late handwise, and kinda had to curl them up in a fetal position to attempt a hand grab.

Move that pass to the center of his chest, the front shoulder pad, or in front of him as we'd want,....and it's a solid big play. One of the frustrating things about our QB play are too many plays like this. They add up.

Kittle comes back and makes a play he shouldn'tve made on his very next catch. So for him, it evens out. Our QB isin't good enough to do the same.
Jimmy G is an above average QB because he has a quick release and can get the ball to the receivers when he's set. However, if he's late in recognizing an open receiver or is hurried, he may not have enough power or speed on the ball to deliver it. His arm also lacks a "deep ball" threat probably due to his lack of power. He has poor mobility and pocket awareness is only average. The worst part of Jimmy G's game is that he's susceptible to making mid or late game momentum shifting mistakes. Because he never throws the ball away, he will look to force a ball into a receiver when pressed. He will also have inexplicable throws that sail into the arms of a defender for no particular reason (because of injury?). His intangibles are that he's a very likeable leader. He seems to be always positive and supportive. He never gets down or looks to blame others. It always seems like he's having fun playing football. His intangibles are what makes this team constantly fight and have a chance to win.

So what a conundrum this guy is! I think if Jimmy G had a slightly better decision-making process and simply cut down those momentum shifting mistakes, 49ers never would have thought to draft Trey Lance. I understand the cold business decision of getting Jimmy G out of here, but the heart wants Jimmy G to stay a 49er.

Yah nevermind the last minute drive to set up the field talk huh. So I guess you're really not saying what you see out there.

Those throws short down the middle to Deebo and Kittle in frigid weather when we absolutely needed them were clutch.

Guys were dropping balls constantly in the first half. Run game wasn't working, OL was awful. But the only thing that I really blame Jimmy about is some of those sacks he took. He should've started getting rid of the ball quicker once he realized how poorly the OL is holding up.

I believe he would have scored after this catch.. but hey, we WON !!!

I've said it over and over, Grappy will not be the type of QB that will put up stats like the GREAT ONES.. but heck, we can win SUPER BOWLS with him...

.. ask yourself this, with all the PERFECT PASSES Aaron threw this season, WHO'S THINKING OF THEM NOW ??
Jimmy, the walking contradiction, garrapolo. Drives me crazy, but keeps winning. He perplexes me.
