Notice how the ball hits him as he's running full speed on the trailing shoulder pad. It's not @ least in the middle or towards the front. He reacted to the ball a little late handwise, and kinda had to curl them up in a fetal position to attempt a hand grab.

Move that pass to the center of his chest, the front shoulder pad, or in front of him as we'd want,....and it's a solid big play. One of the frustrating things about our QB play are too many plays like this. They add up.

Kittle comes back and makes a play he shouldn'tve made on his very next catch. So for him, it evens out. Our QB isin't good enough to do the same.

"lets blame JImmy"
I knew it.

Kittle had to T-Rex his damn arms, lol. Curl your arms up in the same way and try to catch a football. Then post it and let's see how well you do.

Looks like a cleaner pass than it really was. You want one to blame on pass catcher? Show the ones to Aiyuk and Jennings. Those were just flat out drops IIRC.

This one to Kittle highlights one of Jimmy's main weaknesses on plays that should've been big gainers. Too many.
Still funny.

dude he short armed it Kittle will be the first to tell you that

Thought people were talking about the interception.

Actually heard people blaming kittle for that one. He should have come back for that one. Uh, he did, to try to prevent the int. You just gotta shake your head. Whatever. Reminds me of fans of LeBron. Dude can't do any wrong in their eyes. It's always someone else's fault.

Don't feel like the Int was on kittle, do feel like he should have just ran through the back of the defender and take a foul.

the INT.. Kittles was not as open as people may have thought... the DB actually was behind but was in the position to make a play because of the distance of the throw.. Grappy just saw our TE too late but had he threw the ball earlier, that would have been a TD..

.. unless Kittles drops it again..
My only issue this game was Jimmy throwing outside the numbers. It looked like a pick six waiting to happen. That and perhaps Jimmy should never throw while on the run ever again.

Aiyuk, Deebo and Kittle all had crucial drops in the first half of the game. If they did not drop those, Jimmy's completion percentage and passing yards don't look much different than Rodgers.

Having a likeable QB on a team instead of a Baker Mayfield or a Minshew,....I've given him plenty of credit for being a likeable guy before.

It contributes, obviously, but I think -- like Kyle has alluded to -- bringing in a bunch of guys that just clearly love football and love playing for each other is the main factor in the team's attitude, not necessarily Jimmy's attitude. IOW, I'm truly giving him credit for "who he isin't" instead of "who he is."

That's great and all, but eventually I have to play the games on my tv screen and watch what happened. The offensive production was horrid last night and we were saved. Hopefully we get lucky next week when it's not zero degrees conditions and play better.

Three straight weeks of disappointment.

Yes his arms reacted late. They would've had to react earlier. Rewatch the play. I don't really need to gif it do I? You see the ball hit him on his trailing shoulder pad right?

You can't reach back for a pass behind you late,....it's just not gonna happen. Your hands & arms need to be extended earlier. A pass @ least on his chest or in front is an easy grab and his hands and arms are just fine.

Is anything I'm saying untrue??

This whole post is one giant LOL—talk about an absurd microanalysis of a ball that everyone will agree should have been caught. Ah, yes, the ball could have been a few inches closer to the center of Kittle's chest. Or, ya know, Kittle could have made a pretty routine grab on a ball that was generally fine. Give it a rest.

that we win

That's a pattern as well. Yes. We have a great team but a black hole @ the QB position, kinda like 2019.

I'm loving the naysayer talk by you. Jimmy just keeps putting you in the corner every time this team wins. But good for you keep up the good fight.

Oh no fight here,....beautiful blocked kick by Jimmy if he was responsible for it. Just saying what I see and what I notice.

A couple of nice drives in bad conditions.
2-0 over Rodgers in the playoffs.

Back to back playoff road wins against this teams two biggest postseason rivals. It is legendary.

I am enjoying it.

Not sure what your point is other than our QB needs to be 100 percent perfect 100 percent of the time. Every ball between the numbers every single time or in a lead position. Other guys can miss a block, whiff tackles, drop passes, blow coverage on Aaron Jones but JG you have to be 100 percent perfect every single play it's all i ask

Still funny.

1. Kittle usually makes that play but his arms reacted too late. He expected the pass on his chest (just going by the photo).

2. Jimmy tossed it slightly behind him. Throws it better and it's an easy completion.

What's funny about that? I can't legitimately blame both players for a missed opportunity?

The lengths some go through to nitpick Jimmy…

I believe he would have scored after this catch.. but hey, we WON !!!

I've said it over and over, Grappy will not be the type of QB that will put up stats like the GREAT ONES.. but heck, we can win SUPER BOWLS with him...

.. ask yourself this, with all the PERFECT PASSES Aaron threw this season, WHO'S THINKING OF THEM NOW ??

That is because its a team game. The QB is important but other aspects are too. Defense wins championships.

May be the most LOL post I have ever seen and that is saying a lot. Unbelievable some people on here. Blaming Jimmy G for a Kittle drop. We won, Go Niners!
